A quick addition to your story about the Star combining sections. My dad (who is 70 and pretty the only person I know who subscribes to the Star anymore) got his paper this weekend and was surprised to find out that the TV listing section is gone. He called the Star to ask why and, after a 20 minute wait, was told he could get the TV listings for an extra 25 cents a week. He doesn’t like the changes and may give up his subscription after 30+ years.

That’s too bad. Not many folks still rely on what’s left of the Star’s TV book for listings, let alone info about what’s on. Unfortunately for the Star and its readers, people your dad’s age are not only the ones who likely still may, they also make up a sizable percentage of remaining Star subscribers.

give jopoz a break. he didn’t do the predictions in SI. They have various writers do all the team profiles. It’s SI’s predictions. And Jopoz always picks the royals to win the division in one of his preseason columns. He’s still an excellent writer. See his feature in SI on Pujoles.

Why does the media keep blowing this up? I read the message it was not an angry message but one to tell some to back off. When it came to trying to call their room, find their room or putting stuff on their bus. Please someone tell me. What the hell is wrong with that? The man has been wonderful to his fans but he has a right to look out for his and his fans safety. I mean we have stalker law for a reason. David did nothing wrong and if he is playing there I will be attending because the man is wonderful singer and person.
