In any other BIG LEAGUE city, Keitzman, Big Sexy and JoPo would have been run out of town long ago. They lack style, substance and credibility which may be the very reason they are celebrated. Birds of a feather flock together….

Give me a call, Kansas City, and tell me how many wins you think the Royals will have this year!

Actually, I think all three have style and substance. Credibility? None to be found in that group.
The Royals decision to start Ponson on Friday eliminates any credibility they were trying to gain in this “re-building” plan. Sink or swim with Hochevar and Bannister at 4 and 5 – not Ponson and Ramirez.

Yes it looked good earlier with Crisp, the signing of Zack, and the added hitters, but no starting pitching is a big problem and it looks like thats the case so sorry another crap year..unless these bats are on fire…maybe…then we could be .500 wow…after a lifetime of stinkin, .500 big deal…now if the Chiefs can find a running back, two more offensive lineman, two linebackers, three D lineman then they will compete, thats a tall order but maybe just maybe they can get most of that, oh yeah and another wide out…sorry KC fans its not lookin too good, go Ku and Mu…

Opening day is generally a time where optimism abounds but not in KC. We have an owner that spends on his team as little as possible to put a product on the field. As long as Mr. Wal-Mart is our owner we will always have an inferior product. .500 will be the cap on this team and that generally gets you nowhere in the major leagues.

To be fair, didn’t Posnanski only do the Royals preview for SI and not other clubs? Seems if he did only one team, it’d be up to someone else to rank the teams in the division, not him.
