I thought the interview was fine. Do you expect him to tell the truth on what a lousy team this is? He is going to take these players into war in just a few weeks and he needs to be upbeat.
This year is a freebie. There are not a lot of expectations because the hand he and Pioli have been dealt is a weak one. It reminds me of Schottenheimer’s first year where nothing was expected and they did better than expected.

Too many years of Gunther “Blithering Idiot” Cunningham, Dick “I cry at the drop of a hat” Vermeil and Herm “You play to BLOW the game” Edwards, mixed in with a former GM who turned this team into a bunch of overpaid soft PUSSIES!!!!
I LOVE how Haley cracks the proverbial whip on these pricks and has the “It’s the highway or MY WAY” mentality….if we had a guy like that managing the Royals I’d bet that they wouldn’t be THIRTY GODDAMN GAMES UNDER .500 either! This Chiefs team will play hard for Haley and though they probably won’t make the playoffs this year at least they won’t stupidly blow late game leads and fold like a cheap tent.
