Jack Goes Confidential: Gruesome Revenge Thriller has audiences squirming!

LAW ABIDING CITIZEN is a gruesome, take-no-prisoners revenge thriller!

Matter of fact the film’s opening sequence pretty well sets the tone of violence to follow in its ensuing 108 minutes of visually shocking scenes.

Picture this: A home invasion in which two scumbags beat Gerard Butler senseless and murder his wife and daughter.

Happily the killers are caught.

But that’s where justice gets tricky!

Hotshot prosecutor Jamie Foxx is assigned the case but is forced by his boss to offer one of the killers a deal—a light sentence in exchange for spilling the beans on his accomplice.

The movie then jumps ahead several years when the dude who got away with murder is found dead. And Gerard Butler readily admits to the revenge killing.

Matter of fact he takes it to the next level by letting Foxx know that he either fixes the flaws in the justice system that failed his family, or key players in the earlier trial will die as well.

And does he ever follow through on his threat!

He orchestrates—from his jail cell—a series of diabolical assassinations that can’t be stopped. One more bizzare than the last.

Philadelphia is gripped by fear and it’s now up to Foxx to stop the killings by outwitting this brilliant sociopath.

It all comes down to a desperate race against time as Foxx is now facing his deadly adversary Gerard Butler, who seems to always stay one step ahead.

But be forwarned! LAW ABIDING CITIZEN is probably the most graphic revenge thriller you’ve ever seen. You’ll be taking your eyes OFF the screen throughout. Believe it!

Some of its gruesome scenes make the SAW movies seem tame by comparison.

This looks like a great movie. Will see this weekend.

Jack how long have you been reviewing movies in KC?

    Hey bschloz,
To answer your question, I began the reviews on KY-102’s ‘Nighttime Magazine’ with Max Floyd and Ray Sherman back in 1978 and stayed with the station ’til they killed it.
Then moved over to 99.7KY until that station was executed.
While at the 2 KY’s I also reviewed for 61 COUNTRY and later WDAF-FM.
My radio reviews currently air Friday mornings on KMBZ, KUDL, and KXTR, as well as on Time-Warner Cable’s ‘KC ON DEMAND’-Channel 113.
    Thanks for your interest.

    Jack Fan
I am only (feel)28, but I have been a Jack fan since …. I was …. ummmmm, lets see…. must been about negative 10 years old, not even a twinkle in my daddy’s eye ; )

I have been a Jack fan since I was in high school, JACK IS THE MAN!!!

    One question Jack,

I do NOT like graphic BS, it is not required, IF the director/producer has talent. Hitchcock proved you can scare people into becoming hippies, without being graphic on screen, the imagination is more terrifying than anything.

Jack, could this movie have been made allowing ONLLY my imagination to “see” the violence, without showing it?

    PS
the hippie movement was started after psycho, when people were to afraid to take a shower anymore ,,,,,, that is the rumor anyway ; )

That shower scene did have “graphic” violence AND nudity … but ONLY IN THE MIND, not on the screen.

Just like the “graphic” sex scenes in “2000 miles to Graceland”, which were VERY HOT …. but ONLY GRAPHIC IN THE MIND. The headboard knocking against the wall as Courney cox was “doing” Kurt Russel …. ummmmmm Courtney Cox : )

yep i was right, hollywood fucked up the ending. The asshole lawyer wins in the end. I guess that is realistic. I did’nt like the message of we’ll declare martial law and break civil rights to catch the supposed bad guy. Im still shccked that hollywood had the balls to give The Mist its proper ending. I guess I’m still blown away that Fox is supposed to be the hero, really?
