It’s always good to see a local guy shine on the national stage. Maybe not well enough to win this weekend, but well none the less.

Nobody thinks Grunny is crazy. We KNOW he’s crazy. I would not use the words impeccable and timing in a sentence about Matt Cassel unless I were referring to his Rolex, Tag or Patek.

Darren Sproles is the best thing to come out the KC metro since BBQ and Jazz. Seriously, though he is incredibly talented and down to earth and I could not be happier to see the success he has attained. We went to high school together and everyone at Olathe North could see after his first couple games he was gonna have a great career.

Your loose credability when you don’t even know that the Big 12 championship was his jounior year.

I am curious about your sourcing on your Sproles accounts. My source (coach who recruited him)said that Snyder rarely showed emotion when they got commitments but when this coach came in and told Snyder that Darren had committed to play for the Wildcats Snyder jumped up out of his chair and gave the coach a high five. He was the number one player on their board and they got him.

I guess when you read a podunk website you get podunk journalism (and I use the term “journalism loosely.”)

Yeah, you are right Kelly Green…Sproles was a junior and about the only good player that returned from that Big XII title game.

Greg- Sproles was awesome, KSU career leader in many rushing categories but Rock and Scobey were GREAT players at KSU as well, not to mention returning starters from a 10-3 Big XII north champ team and NFL players when Darren was a frosh. And I still don’t understand your point about Sproles helping them win more. He started for 3 years and the one year he didn’t he still played a lot on a team that beat USC with Carson Palmer and Troy Palomalu in LA, destroyed KU and MU and went to a bowl game. What more could he have done?
