….The web page/video page server may be down …… but the video shows a chinee CGI cartoon of Woods’ wife screaming at thim, with images of Wooods mistress popping up, and she starts hitting him and then he run out and get in the car with the wifey running behind him, breaking out his windows, and as he looks back at her, he crashes. Pretty hard hitting investigative journalism, check it out when the server is back up, and then we can get back to the root of this Plaza Lights crowd count conspiracy.

it’s always good to keep people honest. if you say a lie often enough, it gradually becomes true. if too many people let them get away with 300K when it’s really 30K, words (and numbers) lose their meaning.

Thanks for keepin ’em honest Hearne…and one of you guys are right the bigger crime is done daily with our local news..in order to keep you watching they knowingly exaggerate the bad weather “coming” most winters here have maybe 3-5 times when we get snow of any kind, an inch or more and six plus is huge here…yet they will as they have tell you and me that we will have at least l2 or more ‘blizzard’ type days and nights and a boatload of ‘ice storms’ almost none happen…they are never sorry for the mislead and my favorite is showing us SNOW IN OTHER CITES just to make you believe it….and ‘what if we were right we are TRYING TO SAVE LIVES’ no they aren’t they are trying to get more facetime and sell ads and keep you watching…sadly they cost KC millions in biz when they lie or exagerate..and its done on purpose..yet we choose to believe stay home, don’t shop, don’t go out and eat…and oh yeah no comedy club action when THE BLIZZARD NEVER COMES, some years we get one or two snows..oh well they’ll do it anyways

glad you brought this up. I came across this broadcast while channel surfing, and heard them spout those crazy numbers. I really was astounded. I thought it was common knowledge that those numbers were debunked years ago. Hell, just a little common sense would tell you. Yet, here these knuckleheads were once again claiming hundreds of thousands of people. Couldn’t believe it.

Nice work calling these people out. Some of these talking tv boneheads get on the air in a live situation and just start babbling into the microphone without anyone or anything to filter the cavalcade of nonsense that comes trickling out. Somebody in the truck should have piped into their earpiece “Get a hold of yourself”

I’ve said this before…how about someone in a helicopter (or on a rooftop) uses a high-rez digital camera to take some stills from overhead, and somebody actually COUNTS the people? Why is _anyone_ estimating, when it’s so easy to just count them. Seems like a no-brainer to me. Even if it takes a few hours to get the results, if it’s done just one time we’d have a benchmark for future years.

Thanks for your adding your thoughts, Craig. However,a scientific, accurate crowd measurement and crowd count was in fact conducted in 2003 and the magic number was 32,000 people and change. This isn’t the sort of deal that doubles and triples from one year to the next. It’s not like some kind of rock festival with killer headliners one year and nobody’s the next.
Saying there were hundreds of thousands of people there or half a million was totally beyond ridiculous.
