Those Kiss coffins may prove useful after all…
The band Kiss – which played Sprint Center late last week – is notorious for its merchandising prowess. However its so-called Kiss Kaskets – actual coffins decorated with the Kiss logo and likenesses of band members – never really took off. They were even marketed as giant beer coolers.
But after last week’s concert, the band may want to consider crawling into them. Permanently.
“It was a terrible conceert, they shouldn’t tour anymore,” says lifelong Kiss fan Andy Lewellen. “Paul Stanley can’t sing anymore; Gene Simmons was good but I think Paul Stanley’s their weak link now.”
With the two other key Kissers gone – Ace Frehley and Peter Criss – the band is batting one for four.
“The imposter guitar player completely screwed up when he tried to copy Ace Frehley’s guitar solo,” says Kiss

as for the …?

“Lifelong KISS fan”??? “KISS connoisseur??? BS! Bunch of assholes who don’t know their butts from a hole in the ground. Probably more of those “Ace Frehley” freaks who think the only KISS is the original lineup. Losers!!
Ross
The “original” lineup has been Kiss for less than a third of their existence.
Anyone going to this show for an exhibition of musical prowess deserves to lose more than they paid for a ticket.

Bought a scalp out front for less than face. I have no complaints.

what the hell? these KISS “fans” are bitching about this show? I saw them for the 21st time and i have to say while it was not their best show, it was better than 2004 and when I saw the original four on the Psycho Circus tour. The energy level was great, the crowd was very into it and yes, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer filled in very well for the two “original” guys that cannot function any more on stage. Paul’s voice is not as strong as on previous tours, but he is moving around more, playing more guitar and he is PAUL FREAKIN STANLEY.
anyone who claims to be a lifelong KISS fan and then sounds like they haven’t seen the band in years or hasn’t even bothered to watch any clips from this tour is just someone who loves to talk a good game but has no idea what is going on with the band.
Maybe the media should have called me – hell, i still have a ton of KISS swag AND can tell you about what the band has done in the last 25 years.

If you are a grown man still paying money to go see Kiss, you’ve been hornswaggled.

KISS was the best I’ve seen in 15 times. The show was absolutely stunning…. pyro, sounds, lights, video.. new songs. You posers who want it to be the “original 4” need to grow up….
After 35 years, how lucky are we to have KISS still around and caring about their audience.
Seeing the hundreds of young kids there in facepaint, the next generation is coming up.
Stay on or get off the KISS Love Train… plenty of room for the new kids..
Those of you “old cranky, gotta complain types”…start following the Boss.. he’s defintely seen his better days.
Happy Holidays, The Kingfish

KISS was always about the show and they delivered…again. I enjoyed myself thoroughly and the music was great. It’s never been about musical precision. It’s a damn rock n roll show, a KISS show at that! Get over yourselves! If you don’t like it that different guys are in the Spaceman and Catman makeup, go stay home and jerk off to your “Love Gun” albums, you freaking nerds. Paul and Gene have always been the driving force and talent of the band. Ace and Peter were just to drunk and stupid to stay on board.
Just remember
The only “hit” by Kiss was a disco song. “I was made for loving you…”

Beth I hear you calling. Why would anyone expect a good show from guys pushing 70? Next I’ll hear that Oral Robert’s doesn’t preach with the fire he once had. Opps scratch that. I think Kiss should be on Hee Haw.

Why does Dan Leap have to be mentioned in every other column by Hearne? Guess you have so many sources.
