Jack Fan Thanks Jack, I was wondering what you though of this one. Our home theater is so awesome that we have not gone out to theater in a while. Most movies do not require a monster screen ( I dont need a 40 foot tall Forest gump to enjoy the story? ) but some movies( King Kong, now Avatar ) are worth “renting” the screen, even if we have to put up with the fking stupidass spys with the night vision, and the stupid other patrons, and sticky fllors and over priced concessions …… ah crepe ……. I may wait after all. Home is where the heart is, and there are no movie cops at home ; ) and free beerr and free popcorn too.
Thank you Jack, I respect your opinion, glad to hear you liked it.
jon You’re giving me a woodie. That’s a strong review from you since you’re obviously no big fan of sci fi. I’ll be judging for myself tonight at midnight. Hope by then the 4 hour erection has gone down.
Viagra sez Somewhere, maybe on a commercial somewhere, they said “for an election … err … an erection lasting longer than ……. do something,, maybe it was go see this movie ……. hey!!! no wonder the floors are sticky ; )
have fun, cuz fun is a good thing to have, stock up on it.
jon Erection will be gone by 8 tonite. That should give me 4 hours before hitting the Imax at midnight. Come to think of it I’ll make it disappear right now and work on a new one for planet Pandora. ——:
Dexter Morgan I don’t care how nice a home theatre is, you can’t reproduce the tension and drama of a theatre-full of people all seeing something jaw dropping together for the first time. Example: The midnight screening of the Blair Witch Project at the Tivoli, the night before it was released, when about 75% of the people still thought it was real. People were shrieking, squirming, gasping and then frozen in terror in their seats. A truly one-of-a-kind theatre experience. You don’t get that at home.
I’ll definitely be taking in Avatar in 3-D! Cameron rules.
