Greg, while I agree that Bobby Knight did a better job, he and Musburger did talk about hunting. Bobby Knight is going to western Kansas this week to go pheasant hunting with a friend from Dodge City. I learned this around the time Knight started waxing rhapsodic about Peyton Manning. They did better, but they have a long way to go.

The only thing which has quieted in the Missouri-Kansas rivalry is that officials no longer refer to it as the Border War, a ridiculous tribute to political correctness given the historical context. Missouri vs. Kansas was war, long before there were Tigers or Jayhawks in shorts or pads.
Kansas was sensational Monday night (a hard statement for this native Missourian to write). I think it says less about Missouri’s faults than the Jayhawks’ strengths, because KU could probably have beaten any team in the nation (although not necessarily by 20 points) the way it played. Where has this Kansas team been all season?

needs to forget about the 40 minutes of
worthless defense (he can beat the minor teams
but to move up he has to go more toward man
to man or a zone)…that anderson could have
done better had he stuck to the zone (ku and
collins didnt do well against it)…the
missour is still a football school (remember
41-39 and more beatdowns coming in the next
5 years)….that missouri may not beat ku
but they can still do better in the tournament
than ku….that the media in this town is
about as dumb as a rock (kansas has played much
better than this…mu is a hot/cold team/unranked
and that kansas better play better than they
did tonight or they wont make it to the
final 8.
Why do announcers think a team like kansas
when they beat teams like missouri is a good
team. Lets see when they play AWAY on the road
like the tournament against teams they will

KU-K-State is actually a more historic basketball rivalry than KU-MU. KU and K-State have actually both been to the final four multiple times and have played each other to go to the Final Four.
