38 the Spot has a HD channel with working HD cameras. Just do a little homework Greg

    ___

GH: I hope the game is on 38’s HD channel but that isn’t the issue. KSHB and 38 are the good guys here. It’s the national audience that is missing out on one of the marquee games of the college basketball season.

Mussberger: That Frank Martin is a real ball of fire coach! Pure joy to watch!

Knight: I like green bean casserole mother…

Re: Fescoe, KK, Border Patrol, etc. — worthless talk radio is redundant.

I’m not sure if I want ESPN to cover the KSU v. KU game Wednesday.

Syracuse and PITT could be in a heated chess match and ESPN would never cut away from the action, meaning we could potentially miss the first 10 minutes of the first half of one of the best games of the season in Lawrence.

I’m not sure if that’s a knock on Jack Harry or not. Please expound. Thanx.

    ___

GH: I’m comparing what Jack Harry has done in sports commentary to the success that Frank Martin and K-State basketball have accomplished. So that’s a good thing. It’s just not revolutionary — which is what JW and CBS achieved in their respective fields.

KState’s football program was worthless? Careful with the adjectives there. They went to a bowl in 1983. Tell Lynn Dickey, Gary Spani, Steve Grogan, and Vince Gibson their program was worthless. Worthless comes WAY closer to Nebraska men’s basketball than KState football.

    ___

GH: Even the destitute and perennial downtrodden Cornhusker basketball program has not touched the depths of depravity that K-State football knew before CBS

Musberger wrong again. This is not the highest ranking in K-State school history. They’ve been as high as number one a couple times.
And Greg–agree on Bill Snyder’s accomplishment over Frank Martin’s. Not even close.

Let’s hope that 38 the Spot’s HD broadcast tonight is much better than Metro Sports broadcast of the Mizzou/Iowa St. game. Note to the people at MetroSports, it’s not HD if you show the crappy SD video at a higher resolution.

There’s a reason they call it the miracle in Manhattan – KSU almost abandoned their football program in the 1980’s. They should erect statues of Snyder for what he accomplished. I watched many great KSU BB teams in the 70’s and 80’s at Ahearn, they have a hoops tradition that has been dormant for awhile, but a good history. They had zero FB history before Snyder.

Nice pic of Huntley-Brinkley. I used to have a TV that looked something like that. Takes me back.

And no, I’m not that old.
