There’s good new and bad news where the northland’s spanking new Studio Movie Grill is concerned…
First the good
“This theater is 100 percent Dolby 3-D Digital,” says SMG spokeswoman Lynne McQuaker. “I don’t think you’ll find that anywhere else in Kansas City.”
Now the bad
A press screening sampling of the movie Date Night revealed some shortcomings not likely to disappear anytime soon.
First and foremost are the elevated alternating back rows of seats that place the head of the person sitting in the row ahead of you squarely in your line of movie watching sight. The rows are not elevated enough, nor are the seats offset.

They were taken at eye level and I’m 6’3” and trust me, the dude in front of me was no NBA star.
This is going to be a difficult (not to mention annoying) problem to solve, as the flooring is already raised for the rear rows.
The obvious cure: sit only in the front rows, directly overlooking the back rows.
As for the theater seats, don’t count on anything comparable to the
