Even a losing effort by the Royals is more glamorous than the flushing of a toilet… Arguably. That said, and understatements aside,

Soooo…you flush your poo with 0.8 gallons of water, the water goes down the sewer to the water plant where your poo gets filtered out and then the water gets shot with chlorine and sent back to the supply reservoir. How exactly was water conserved for the environment? Would you be saving any less water if you flushed with 3 gallons of water and the same process happened again? Environuts are funny sometimes.
MandDShagger
Hearne: why don’t you and Roger make a you tube video of one of these deluxe crappers flushing an issue of the KC Star!

Soooo… how much does it cost to have a blog written about my business. I sell bullshit.

+1 on what Ptolemy said. Outside of saving some cash on your water bill, you ain’t doing squat (get it?) to the environment whether you flush 0.8 gallons or 80.
Ptolemy
We like Hearne though. He is the perfect illustration of what the environmental movement accomplishes; washing non-scientific media people in enough junk-science feel-good rumor and innuendo that they will then communicate what they are fed by the movement.

C’mon guys, the less water we use the better. Flip side is we cut back too much and they start firing people at the Water Dept. Where ya’ gonna take those job skills?
hearne
Always good to hear from the environmentally enlightened!

Try this guyz:
“Water conservation has become an essential practice in all regions, even in areas where water seems abundant.
In addition to saving money on your utility bill, water conservation helps prevent water pollution in nearby lakes, rivers and local watersheds.
Conserving water can also extend the life of your septic system by reducing soil saturation, and reducing any pollution due to leaks. Overloading municipal sewer systems can also cause untreated sewage to flow to lakes and rivers. The smaller the amount of water flowing through these systems, the lower the likelihood of pollution. In some communities, costly sewage system expansion has been avoided by communitywide household water conservation.”
Ptolemy
…and untreated sewage from fish and animals and the river fisherman that take a piss in the river while fishing is somehow different from Hearne’s poop and pee in what way that he is required to have a completely isolated sanitary sewer system?
Keep parroting what they are telling you. We will be here to re-education in the School of Common Sense.

If it’s “green politics” to you, you’ve completely missed the point.
