With the newsroom of the Kansas City Star literally consumed with the topic of what-in-the-world is going on between the newspaper and volatile sports columnist Jason Whitlock, the paper continues to bunker.

Talk about W’s future at the Star has reached beyond critical mass among reporters and editors. Driven by the unexplained resignation Friday of sports editor Holly Lawton and the big galoot’s two-month plus equally unexplained absence.All of which has lead to absolutely zero in the way of open discourse from management with the readership, general public or

seems to me that a fledging website looking for an audience might do better in serving up some actual news as opposed to analysis pieces on the failings of another news source….how’s about attracting some paying advertisers that would generate funds that could be used to pay actual reporters write stories about actual news? Seems like a reasonable business model to me
