Ugh! The lefties in hollywood can’t even make a decent movie with all the ingredients for a great movie without injecting their politics.

I.e. Avatar or Machete. Screw Hollywood.

Some great insights Jack. I’m seeing it Saturday night and plan to re-read your review after that.

Jack, clearly the picture Mike Douglas did earlier this year, SOLITARY MAN, was better, cheaper and not in many theatres, unfortunately, but a strong picture. I gave it an A minus and Mike should be nominated for best actor for his performance as a late 50’s aged ladies man, not ready to end it all, flawed from the fact he lost his millions and thats his crime…broke and acting like he isn’t.

I agree with Glazer about SOLITARY MAN, good film, and yes, Hollywood needs to stop preaching and start making good films. Avatar, I thought, was lame. They took the “Trail of Tears” the one of the stories of the Native American Indians and used that in the movie. I like movies to escape and have fun not to be politized (is this a word?) to.
