Stay at home, light a fire, and grab a good book? Oh, hell no! Man up and get out of your jammies… it’ll be worth it, I promise.

*Robert Randolph and the Family Band – Liberty Hall in Lawrence
If you’ve never seen Robert Randolph before, what the hell is wrong with you? Robbie wails away on the pedal steel (and other guitars), brining southern blues, funk, soul, and gospel to the needy. His high energy shows can get even the Lawrenciest hipster shaking their thang.
*Truckstop Honeymoon, Orange Marmelade, Lance Fahey – The Bottleneck in Lawrence
Truckstop Honeymoon are Lawrence by-way-of-New Orleans dirt-grassers, and they always draw a nice crowd with their tales of white trash hope.
Considering that KU just started back up, I expect the Bottleneck to be packed with coeds ready to get back to business (and by business, I mean getting hammered with their friends).

*Ozzy Osbourne & Slash – Sprint Center in KC
What can I say? It’s Ozzy. And Slash is opening for him. Despite being unable to put coherent sentences together anymore, this spawn of the devil keeps grinding away, touring on his 2010 album "Scream."
No doubt his set will include plenty of old favorites as well, with a backup band that is second to none. And Slash’s guitar playing never disappoints.
