There’s something to be said for the 6-plus, seven day, 6 a.m to midnight radio ratings…
Starting with, anybody can get me. But the numbers that truly matter to the station and advertisers – the numbers that determine the air talent’s fates – are the demographic breakdowns that are quite a bit harder to come by.
Here are a few of them for June, released this afternoon…

Funny took a tumble
Ouch!!
Just like Gateway City
I’m only going to post this once and leave. All of the people who give a crap about this are at Gateway City. Somebody should tell your advertisers that you are really ripping them off.
Unless I’m mistaken, you just did. Too bad we have the readership numbers to back us up and all you have is that catchy nickname
Share is a bullshit number
Only radio geeks care about share, how about rating points, really show how few people listen to radio.
KLOVE…..shows how stupid these things
are….k love beats kprs…..jesus christ is joyful now……
Hearne is Just Reporting The Numbers People
Yes these numbers are a bit off in many ways. Stanfords has advertised on 98.9 as our #1 Ace for almost 20 years, did us right. Dare is a giant in this city, a giant. I had a sixth grade and under group(summer field trip) in today at noon for a little talk from me. The kids only known local star was YOU GOT IT Johnny Dare. They had heard of Larry the Cable Guy(Cars) and Jeff Foxworthy(thats about it) and the King of KC radio Dare. So yeah he is a legit number One no doubt.
We advertise on The Mix, a definate number one with ladies, Q 104 Young Country a good mix and about really 3 or 4 in the overall market. Buzz a comer and really 5 or 6, nice. Our newbie is Alice with Shorty, a comer, we’ll see. We prefer 610 over 810, younger audience and now about the same listening group of people….so Hearne is just doing his job, calm down.
C’mon, Karl…get real!
Amen, H Man. See ya in church!
as rome would say…. “scoreboard.”
Pretty interesting… 610 is closer to 810 than I thought they should be… But these numbers are pretty darned scientific and accurate.. There is too much $ at stake for the measuring stick to not have cred.
