Looking for a last minute blast from the past this weekend?
Then check out this Labor Day Weekend’s annual ‘GREASERAMA‘ going down today and Sunday from 12 noon ‘to Midnight at–where else—the BOULEVARD DRIVE-IN THEATRE on Merriam Drive in KCK.
What is it?
It’s nostolgic pre ’65 rod and kustom cars, old school low riders, cycles, scooters and muscle cars. All that plus four live bands playing each each day. And if that’s not enough to float your boat, both evenings wind down with a hard rockin’ double feature movie progrtam consisting of Ralph Bakshi’s WIZARDS and HEAVY METAL.
Ooops, almost forgot…
Eddie Munster (a.k.a. Butch Patrick) will be there in the flesh both days.
So if you just want to stare, be stared at and buy stuff – or relive your wasted youth, you’re in for a at GREASERAMA!
It’s $10 bucks for a one-day pass or $15 for both days.
So dude, no matter whether your plates are WY, JO or MO, this is the place to let your hair down—literally – providing you still have some.
Far Out Dude
Sounds like a slicked back Vitalis sort of event. Hope the river doesn’t rise and wash it all away.
after all these years
It’s been around for 11 years, I’ve been to the last few and it is far from a Vitalis sort of event. Love the rods, the live punk music and the people watching. It was jam packed. I’m not sure the river has ever washed out Greaserama.
