Real deal or marketing schmooze, you make the call…
Seems like the entire world – as we know it anyway – is bent on cashing in on Chiefs star Travis Kelce and pop star Taylor Swift‘s budding, presumed romance.
But might it be a cash grab?
The cash is clearly there, and Kelce’s definitely grabbing it.
“Travis Kelce’s Jersey Sales Spike 400 Percent After Taylor Swift Attends His Chiefs Game,” one headline reads. “The big boost comes after Swift was spotted cheering for the Chiefs amid rumors of dating Kelce.”
Whether the Kelce-Swift coupling is for real or not, the Chiefs star’s jersey sales explosion came coupled with tongue-in-cheek requests for her to connect with other parties.
“Taylor can you start hanging out with a teacher in public education who deserves higher wages,” reads one tweet. “Can we get her photographed reading a newspaper,” reads another, by someone obviously working undercover for the Kansas City Star.
Or, how about…
“If Taylor Swift went to a Broadway show, she could single-handedly save the theatre industry,” and “Taylor, do Medicare for All next.”
But, to borrow a phrase from Joe Biden, here’s the deal:
Aside from Swift hanging at Arrowhead in a suite with Kelce’s mom and walking out with him – albeit minus any obvious signs of PDA – everything that’s been written or said has been couched with the caveat of if they are romantically involved.
As in, nothing’s been confirmed as to R-rated romance.
You have to just chuckle at the whole thing. Is it romance or fauxmance? Who the hell knows?! People have completely lost their shit over it, though. Swift seems like a nice enough person. I wouldn’t know a Taylor Swift song if it hit me in the head. But, she sure weilds a pretty broad sword of influence.
Worse case scenario is Trav gets a song written about him when splitsville comes.

The fact a star as big as Taylor Swift came to KC for more than just a concert tells me it’s only for $.
To be more blunt I can imagine El Swifty sitting down at a table ANYWHERE in KC. She looks left. She looks right. Then she says to herself “I’m never doing this again!”
C’mon now…
Well, when she temporarily starts living here, you can recreate that image let’s see what she does actually say or do!
It’ll be interesting to see if Swift is ever seen in KC again. I’m thinking not.

I watch football to see a game not whose in the stands. I don’t see this as a match made in heaven or hell either for that matter. I guess if I had to say anything good about it would be that it keeps us from seeing Jackson and Brittney.

Maybe they clicked who knows. They are the same age. Both are from the Ohio Penn region. If it was intended to be a marketing ploy it sure the hell worked.
I wonder…I think it might have started with him just seeing how far he could get – if at all – and some of the PR types in the middle correctly guessed it would be a sensation and away they went!
Her upcoming Eras Tour concert film is premiering exclusively in AMC Theatres which of course are headquartered here. Coincidence?

If she’s thrashing Kelce, I doubt AMC has anything to do with it.

With estimates she’ll earn $10 billion, with a B, I doubt she’s with Kelce for a KC/AMC tie-in! Her fans define fanatics. They’ll be going to the movie no matter what she’s doing in her personal life..,

Why bother with it….its taken the media world by storm. They are everywhere! And who can fault them…love is in the air.
