There is no denying it!
Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson is probably the ONLY star today that can successfully open a movie by simply being attached to the film.
He proved it again with the JUMANJI remake which set box office records worldwide.
Well, he’s at it again…
In Johnson’s new sci-fi monster movie RAMPAGE he plays primatologist Davis Okoye, head of an anti-poaching unit where he shares an unshakable bond with an extraordinarily intelligent silver-back gorilla named George.
A friendship dating back to George’s birth.
But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry transforms the gentle ape into a raging (and rapidly growing) monster.
Ditto a giant wolf and croc, which are now destroying everything in their path.
There hasn’t been this much horrific destruction in downtown Chicago since the Transformers last partied in the Windy City.
Question is whether Johnson and doctor Kate Caldwell (played by Naomie Harris) can save these monster mutations, prevent a global catastrophe and find who or what mutated the beasts?
It’s fast-paced popcorn adventure and frankly a heck of a lot of fun….especially for followers of The Rock.
RAMPAGE is also another notch on Johnson’s career belt and won’t disappoint his legions of fans of which there are millions around the world!
The arcade game screen adaptation gets a: B-
