Well, Chiefs coach Andy Reid has heard the noise from pretty much everybody – fans, media, blogs – even Travis Kelce,…
GET TYREEK HILL MORE INVOLVED AND KELCE AS WELL. NOW.
Clearly Hill is our most dangerous and best weapon on offense. We all have seen and know what he can do…and he’s got more TD’s – 10 – than all the rest of our offense put together!
Give him the ball as a back as well as a receiver.
I’d like to see Hill get about eight or more handoffs, including short yardage, sweeps, screens and just runs. And I’m sure he’ll break a couple for big yards or a score. More important the defense will have to watch him and that opens up throwing lanes.
Our D is badly hurt now without Justin Houston and Derek Johnson.
Sounds like last year.
Unfortunately, this year Alex is not as good, with only 12 td’s and 6 INT’s – three that cost us recent games. Alex and a poor O line are the two big reasons the Chiefs are really not a Super Bowl contender anymore this year. Sure. it’s possible, but highly doubtful. Uh, not as a wild card, maybe a 2 seed gives us a chance.
Oakland could lose to Indy today.
And the Chiefs should handle a weakened Broncos team playing for pride on Xmas night here in KC.
Their quarterback is worse than ours with no running game, sound familiar?
I still like KC at home, especially with Reid’s pride and Smith’s job on the line. Yes, I don’t think Alex is our starter next year. Unless he jumps up his game huge. As I have said, as has Kelce and others, Smith operates much better in a hurry up offense with some imporv on plays he calls.
He’s terrible at the Payton Manning school of 45 seconds between snaps, doesn’t work for him. Sure like to see Alex run the ball more too.
I think KC beats Denver, maybe in their best offensive performance of the season 28-13. I just don’t know how hard the Broncos will play in a game that’s kinda meaningless for them.
As for Super Bowl hopes…
The top two teams for sure are Dallas and the Pats. Behind them are the Steelers in AFC and Seattle in NFC. Big maybes in NFC are NYG and Atlanta. In AFC Oakland, Chiefs are a big longshot.
PRO PICKS
GREEN BAY +1 OVER VIKINGS IN A TEASE WITH TENNESSEE +2 OVER JAGS
KANSAS CITY + 3 1/2 OVER DENVER IN A TEASE WITH PACKERS +1 OVER VIKES
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Hey it was Xmas, Hearne has been ill with the flu, so this got up late. However you might think I wrote it after last nights game, huh. It’s the blueprint for Christmas nights big win over Denver. However you can see I missed on Tennessee defeating a horrid Jags team in picks, damn it. Others won. Including KC.
Hill had the touches and got a long TD run, again untouched. Kelce had his best game as a pro. Alex ran the ball well himself and all that opened up Spencer Ware for his best game in weeks. The score wasn’t close and with 400 plus yards on offense, yes it was KC’s best game of 2016, so far. This is what we will need to beat Steelers or Pats.
Oakland lost their quarterback to a broken leg injury and he is out for the year. Sooooo…yes we can get the 2 spot in the playoffs, if Denver beats a wounded Raiders team at Mile High and we defeat a pretty banged up Chargers team next week. We will need that to make a solid run at the prize. Won’t be easy, right! It comes down to three offensive weapons, Tyreek Hill is a must, Kelce as well and Alex has to play the way he did yesterday and then some. Is it possible. It is possible! Hey 11-4, very good season for KC.
I just reread this story, written before the Denver game was played….how much more on target can anyone be before a game is played…so maybe give me a speck of credit huh..hah…again you can’t measure that win with Broncos the same as the one on Thursday Night, the Broncos were a better team then and still deeply in the hunt to playoffs and a division title, their quarterback was playing better til that night and has been way off since which does effect the play of everyone…but it was a big win.
