A Chiefs win will establish them as the likely #2 team in the AFC. Hard to believe after the Steelers game,
But with the fall of Denver, Oakland and Pittsburgh and the Chiefs light schedule ahead – only bad teams coming for weeks – the Big Red emerge as a top tier team in the NFL.
Really, only a couple teams look Super right now.
The Pats are the best in football; Dallas the best in the NFC. The Seahawks re quietly sneaking up on everyone and the Vikes are a surprise team with great D. There are about seven or eight second tier teams, including our Chiefs right now – and an injury here or there can change things in a blink.
KC should beat the Saints.
They have no defense to speak of and a good passing game from guess who.
Chiefs 28-17 over New Orleans.

K-State is in the hunt for a lower bowl game but all our area teams are just not worth watching right now. MU,KU ad K-State are all going nowhere really.
Alabama is still tops with Washington, Clemson, Ohio State and Michigan.

Off topic but sports related.
Last season I checked Bob Fescoe’s twitter. It was the same time Kris Bryant made his MLB debut. Fescoe ranted questioning why Bryant is being so hyped by MLB, what has he ever done in the majors. Even thought he could be a bust in the league.
When Bryant debut he went 0-4 with three strike outs. Fescoe seemed to be happy that maybe he was right.
Well as I write this, Bryant has been to two ASG. Is more then likely the NL MVP this season and is about to win a WS. He looks to be the only star coming from the 2013 draft.
The reason why I write this is to remind everyone just how big of a hack Fescoe is.
Is Fescoe really as stupid as he acts on the radio?

I did mornings with Bob Fescoe many times over the last several years. He would interview comics and sometimes just me. He was always very nice and supportive. Bob has his opinions like all of us. Sometimes we are right sometimes wrong. The guy is very good at what he does, thus his long run on 610 which is our number one sports station today. Give the guy some credit.
Suggesting that a highly rated baseball player is gonna be a bust because he went 0-4 with 3 strikeouts in his first game in big leagues is ignorant. Fescoe probably thought Peyton Manning was gonna be a bust after his pathetic first performance in the NFL. Believing this kind of stuff over and over is ignorant. Fescoe is not good at what he does. This city simply has too many people that enjoy listening to shi*. And the radio stations in this town are more than willing to shovel shi* out if that’s what people want. It’s that simple.
Ever since bombing in STL and coming back with his tail between his legs Fescoe has been the definition of a homer.
Strange for a guy who was reprimanded for asking David Glass a tough/legit question.
When I looked at his Kris Bryant hate rant I wonder where it was coming from? Kind of came from left field. The guy from New York so he didn’t grow up a Cubs hater.
But ya. Fescoe thought a guy who is now a two time All Star, and likely this years NL MVP was going to be a bust.
I guess that butt kicking STL gave him effected his brain too much.
Fescoe’s approach, as is many sports talkers on the radio, is to say so and so’s gonna be a bust for every big time player coming into any league and then claim they are smart when they go 1 for 20 on their predictions. I’m not gay, but I’m guessing Fescoe’s just jealous of Bryant’s lady killer baby blue eyes.
We split the picks. Tough games to call yesterday and Saturday. Marshall kept us from going clean and winning all four games and two wins. So we remain over .500 by 2 games. In this crazy season, I’ll take it for now. With a better picture on who is good and who isn’t, we might do better as season moves forward. Boy its tough going on those point spreads. Chiefs had a nice win. It’s New England and now OUR DIVISION as top teams in AFC, I don’t even count the Chargers out, they are dangerous.
As soon as the Steelers get healthy, they’ll be right at the top again. Right now, they have too many guys on the sidelines. No Roethlisberger. No Coates. No DeAngelo Williams. No Cam Heyward. Shazier playing little if any at all. Starting tackle Marcus Gilbert out. Starting WR Markus Wheaton out.
Yes Steelers can make some noise no doubt.
