Glazer: Bills Could Pave Way to Chiefs Wild Card & NFL Picks

cd183dd1a1e60ea15361d57553e16d9bThe Chiefs play a wounded Buffalo Bills team at home and are a 5.5 point favorite..,

Bill QB Tyrod Taylor is hurt with a collar bone injury and may not even last the entire game. And the Chiefs’ defense can prove it’s a for real elite defense today. We’ll see.

The Bills should be ready to take a fall.

They played Monday night, lost, didn’t look very good and their playoff hopes could die at Arrowhead today. That would move the Chiefs to 6-5 and need they would need just four more wins to lock up a wild card berth. Maybe only three more.

Strange year.

So who’s the top dog out there?

Kc_chiefs_uniformsNew England has lost many of its weapons, but still looks solid. Arizona is very good. The Panthers look to be the best at the moment, but still have to prove it in the post season against Arizona.

So it looks like a Patriot vs. Panthers Super Bowl.

With dark horses being the Steelers and Arizona. I just don’t think the Bengals have the heart.

Yes, it’s hard to believe, but our Chiefs are still in this crazy thing.

TODAY’S PRO PICKS

KC + 1 OVER THE BILLS TEASE WITH ARIZONA -4 OVER SF

STEELERS + 9 1/2  ON A TEASE WITH TB Plus 9 1/2 OVER INDY

GO CHIEFS…

  1. I am watching the game now. It is very tense. I am switching from popcorn to fingernails.

  2. Kerouac says:

    “GO CHIEFS…”

    – gone, since…

  3. CG says:

Alex Smith may have played his overall best game for Chiefs. In a win and an important game against a solid team, the Bills. His two bombs were what turned the game. Plus his own running of the ball. Much improved need more of that. Big win. Started out very poorly ended up a big one with Steelers loss. Chiefs now in first spot, a win at Oakland just about locks up the playoffs…we’ll see. Defense was poor rain didn’t help but they had rain too. Need some of lineman back and Houston back.

  4. Kerouac says:

swiss stink up the field again copious assistance officials/working conjunction, a gift 7 points the locals & denial 3 to 7 Bills: true final score BUFF 30 @the swiss 23

Neither KC or BUFF nor any NFL team 2015 is “solid”, CG. This week’s NFL farce via the officials: Maclin credited with a catch on a ball that clearly touched the ground – 7 free points for the swiss, other egregious ‘home-cooking’ vs Bills difference the game.

‘Toast’ Peters allowed another td catch, was beaten all day long – ditto Smith, KC’s so-called ‘best’ DB. Bills dominated the swiss and it showed (415 yards). A positive note, Raiders win, Texans win, Jets win – all playoff bound in this mediocre league be NFL.

Next week, Raiders put the kibosh to the swiss: @RAIDERS 1,750 swiss .02

Just 5 more weeks till another swiss season goes P-O-O-F: ‘wait till next year’, part 2016, verse 46.

  5. Kerouac says:

Affirming what Kerouac has said ad nauseam: mediocre league/mediocre teams –

‘great over-hypes’ the Patriots go down the drain vs the Broncos – buh-bye perfection, buh-bye several bottles champagne Miami and soon bye-bye more bottles same when Carolina – another fraud – goes down.

  6. Kerouac says:

Having been ‘deflated’ by the Broncos, the ‘great overhype’ Brady is now 5-6 career the regular season vs the Broncos – Denver the only team he has a losing record to – and he is also 1-2 career post season vs Denver; that’s 6-8 overall for ‘the greatest QB of all time’…

  7. CG says:

K you have become mister negative on Chiefs and most other current teams and players. I love your work as you know, but you gotta be more open minded. Of course there are stats that make most teams and players look which ever way you want them too look.

With all the injuries and level of much more even talent around the league, its a post season open too many teams. Including KC. I don’t think Chiefs fans see the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, but a post season win is possible. I was down on them, as was everyone, and now I am clearly seeing a much improved team with a five game win streak. If they beat Oakland next week its likely they are in the post season. In fact going 11-with that win is possible. Too bad Pats blew the Denver game or KC could with an 11-5 record have a shot at the division title, that’s gone now.

  8. Kerouac says:

Nod Howie, just “telling it like it is”, CG… that you are/have been able (unlike others) not let the opinion(s) another (yours truly) trouble you to the point personal attacks, noted – that rebukes others leave Kerouac resolute in his takes, just as certain. That said, nod the ‘Great One’, Gleason – “AND AWAY WE GO!”

“K you have become mister negative on Chiefs and most other current teams and players.”

    – BINGO – the rank waft modern age sport is an incurable plague…

” I love your work as you know, but you gotta be more open minded. Of course there are stats that make most teams and players look which ever way you want them too look.”

    – your silence regarding the horrendous officiating case the Bills yesterday, indeed has become rampant league-wide NFL, affirms what Kerouac has said, world with no end: factors beyond talent are deciding games, ‘best team(s)’ not winning (see BUFF & NE among others), “all that matters is we got the win” (DEN & KC, among other… par for the NFL course, 2015.)

“With all the injuries and level of much more even talent around the league, its a post season open too many teams.”

-“the league” is a disgrace, injuries are nothing new; for those prefer close games, be happy… for those embrace the days 66-24, 56-10, 59-7 and the like, obsequies.

“Including KC. I don’t think Chiefs fans see the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, but a post season win is possible.”

    – cue the Van Camp’s Pork and Beans song: “Life’s simple pleasures are the best”…
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjzinJ4QeHo

“I was down on them, as was everyone, and now I am clearly seeing a much improved team with a five game win streak.”

    – time for a new RX yours, CG: you are seeing a level of play on par the replacement players 1987 – you say “glass half full” – Kerouac says “there’s a hole in the bucket”…

“If they beat Oakland next week its likely they are in the post season.”

    – a definite maybe there, yes? “If” resounding with all the confidence an 6-5 collection of ‘any 22’s from off the street can engender; when nobodies like Ware or Hammond et al manage succeed/find employ an NFL roster, paint a picture of a league in disarray.

” In fact going 11-with that win is possible. Too bad Pats blew the Denver game or KC could with an 11-5 record have a shot at the division title, that’s gone now.”

Upshot: Kerouac is unwavering, whereas you vacillate ad nauseam, CG… to each their own. To your credit, ‘do’ state that Chiefs are not Superbowl material (gee, do ya think not?), whereas I’ve never/will never settle for ‘the old college try’ now numbering 45+ years KC.

Feel good stories may float the boat some, i.e., at least we made post season’/’least we finally won a post season game for the first time in over 20 years’, or, ‘we like the rest NFL/MLB same (see those other mediocre frauds, Royals/Mets et al) are imposters, but we’ll take it i.e., “put a feather in our cap, and call it macaroni” any which way we can, because like our team(s) of choice, these are (nod Bogart) “the desperate hours”, years/decades. Thanks, but no thanks, I’ll pass on such ultimate empty ecstasy.

    • CG says:

K nobody can break it down like you do brother. You make solid arguments. As stated, the Chiefs are maybe a playoff team, no not a superbowl team…agreed..and yes they continue to be an also ran, agreed. I have to give them some credit for getting up off the floor of 1-5 to go 6-5. At least we have something to watch this winter. At 2-8 no we have nothing…so a wild card is better than nothing. I think.
