Please! No more Jewish Christmas movies!! Allow Christians to make their own movies about Christmas. If you don’t agree it’s time for a Christian movie to make fun of Jews. This has got to stop.
Another bomb forthcoming from Mr. DUDE….WEED….LMAO.
Jack S. the thing I notice is that there is always a push by a studio to release one ultra violent movie on Christmas. This year it is Hateful Eight, opening right on Christmas Day.
I just tired of Jewish actors making money off Christian themes. They should get a life.
So any movie with a Christian theme should not have any non-Christians in the cast or is it just Jews you have a problem with? And I thought Jesus was a Jew.
Bigot exposed.
Mr. Springer, your own comments are pretty clear in displaying your prejudice. You didn’t need any outside help in exposing you.
You know Jack, you may have a point. Now that I think about it, the fact that Charlton Heston made money off movies with Jewish themes really pisses me off too.
Stomper and Valerie ….
If you make fun of Jewish people you’re call anti-semitic.
If you make fun of Muslim people you’re called Islamophobic.
If you make fun of Christian people …. you’re very popular.
Do you understand how hypocritical this is?
Thanks Jack S. ; while I have not seen the movie, from the reviews I have read and trailers I have seen, the intent of this film is not to make fun of Christians. This is not a “Jewish Christmas” movie. It’s a comedy with Christmas as a backdrop, not an assault on Christianity and one of the characters just happens to be Jewish However your point made in your third comment above is much clearer than your first two. I see your point and it is a valid one. It does strike me as akin to trying to generate sympathy for the NY Yankees or the NE Patriots but that’s just my perspective and I am not a Christian.
On a separate level, I do think we are often wound a bit tight with regards to our view of ourselves and religion. We need to be able to laugh at ourselves. There is a lot of humor in Judiasm imho and I enjoy good natured fun. Not all religious references are meant to be insulting.
Anyway, thanks for your comment clarifying your intended point.
And Mr. Poessinger, I’m sure you did not intend for your offering here to generate a stream of comments about assaults on religion. With the cadre of passionate commenters here at KCC, one never knows where a seed of dissent may be found. Thanks !!
Sorry for the error in spelling. Should have read Mr. Poessiger.
