Are the Kansas City Chiefs the best team in the AFC? Are the Chiefs the NFL’s best? The answer may could be, YES.
With a tough, but impressive win over the world champion Seattle Seahawks today at Arrowhead and a loss by Denver to a team KC beat, the Chiefs are in 1st place in their division and the toast of the NFL.
Seriously, five straight wins.
Including signature wins over New England, San Diego on the road and now the Seahawks. That’s something this team hasn’t done in a couple decades; BEAT QUALITY TEAMS AND OFTEN.
Now with a 7-3 record the Chiefs have all but locked up a post season appearance.
Head coach Andy Reid is THE COACH OF THE YEAR, no question. A team, most experts and me said would not win but a few games, is now one the elite teams in the league. Go figure.
Today Jamaal Charles outran the Seattle monster Marshawn Lynch and Reid out coached Pete Carroll. And the KC defense held on three key fourth down tries by Seattle, including one on our one yard line.
The Chiefs have yet to surrender a rushing touchdown in 10 games.
Kansas City is playing the best defense in pro football. And right now they deserve a spot in the big dance, THE SUPER BOWL. Will it happen?
Hey, I’m way more excited at this point in the season about the prospect of a Chiefs Super Bowl than I was about the Royals wild card team.
This team is for real, no magic tricks or luck needed!
I want to personally thank Andy Reid for making me a Chiefs fan again after 15 years of seeing them as a joke – which they were. They are the KANSAS CITY CHIEFS once again.
Lets roll.
We go to 8-3 Thursday AFTER we beat the Raiders. The Chiefs will beat the Broncos and Chargers in KC and that will be that.
Then the playoff run.
Fun stuff.
I’m impressed.
unfortunately since Denver already beat KC once, Denver’s in first place thanks to head to head.
Nice try.
For now.
Kerouac sees copious mea culpas your ‘sunny side up’ plea KCindy’s future, CG… how do like your huevo en la cara: poached, scrambled or half-baked? That limb you’re on is gonna snap with the weight you & your hyperbole… have crash helmet at the ready, because it’s gonna be a bloody red mess at the end, as always.
1970
🙂
K I don’t think the Chiefs have a great shot at the big prize, but they have a real shot. Right now only New England and Green Bay look better…the Chiefs are right in there. So a post season win or wins is likely, a Super Bowl, well that’s still a long shot. It always is…
glazeAZE please shut up!
you change your mind every minute.
This week you not only screwed up your fake teases but you lost what three out of
four…25% and if you used the correct math your record would be below
40%…or equal to ablind woman throwing darts.
so look at the standings…there are like 5 or 6 teams within 1 game of the
chiefs now for wild card slots. I’m taking it that Denver wins the division
and kc goes wild card…which with all those teams jumbled at 6-4 and some
big games remaining that we’re not locks for anything.
You made a mess of the royals this year until I corrected you.
Keep saying its over…its over…its over….Harley was right before…and
will be right again.
don’t jinx the chiefs!!!!!
P.S. Glazier is going to lose his “Big Bet” which the Monarch predicts will lead to 12 more months of 70% watered down drinks for customers at the chuckle hut. (2 drink minimum please.)
Orthopedic surgeons have announced the emergency rooms are full of people who have injured themselves jumping off and on the Chiefs bandwagon.
Bruce Arians has coached circles around anything The Red-Head has done. One loss and on his third quarterback, all he does is win games.
Kerouac continues to pine for the soon-to-be LA Chargers as they continue their annual march to nowhere. The sadness does not allow him to enjoy the entertainment.
While history may not repeat, it often rhymes. The difference between Andy Reid and Linda Lovelace?
Linda never choked on a big one.
Arians has done a helluva job this year. But, it doesn’t diminish anything that Big Red has done after an 0-2 start. Road wins against SD, BUFF & MIA followed up by a home win over the World Champions. Just like the Royals, I’ll enjoy the ride until it ends. I mean, why wouldn’t you?
Superbowl? I doubt it. Let’s face it, it’s the only “prediction” that K’rac has left that could be correct……..as if predicting who WON’T win the Superbowl is the act of some sports savant. He’s 1-7 in the last 8 weeks. Ouch! Coin flip would get you 4-4. Somebody give that man a quarter.
Arizona at Seattle next week. Looking forward to that one, Orphan!
The Chiefs visiting the Valley of the Sun looks like a good one. We Temple alum don’t get a lot to cheer about in the NFL. But it is usually top notch. Paul Palmer being an exception.
Arians had the toughest job in Division 1 there. Bowles was a QB who knew the game, was a backup in Chicago and has built a killer D.
Andy has always been good making silk purses out of sow ears. He made me believe in AJ Feely.
Maybe he’ll do a Vermeil, turn it around and correct the mental mistakes he makes during games. Not having to deal with a Capologist is probably helping him too.
Even at best, this modern parity-addled NFL world mediocrity, Kerouac ranks KCindy no higher than 11th, 5th the AFC.
Picking a post season team in week 10 is like picking the 2003 Chiefs & 2013 same ~ 9-0 the deux ~ known the football parlance premature e (slang term for home run) ulation.
The ’64 Phillies who actually ‘led’ by 6 1/2 games with but 12 to play in the season – only to miss MLB’s post entirely. 7 – 3 KCindy NFL, six to go? Do not even bother knocking upon that teasing tart’s door.
So much time left, too many things can happen – and always do. A major injury to a major guy (or two) and breaks that went one way and balls bounced same direction suddenly head another.
There are 32 teams today & isn’t 1/32nd an inch difference tween any them, which means any them can win. “That means KC can beat any team!”
It also means OAK can. And 30 others same. “Not a chance!”
How many times has Kerouac heard that before, since 1970?
Be a reason that its been 45 years (see the Jets, Browns & Lions old guard same, ditto baseball’s lovable losers Cubs & Royals.) Race the finish line, be rabbits & tortoise too; Chiefs are hasenpfeffer, ad nauseam.
🙂
Kero, we luv ya buddy, but this, is how you actually predict an upcoming game.

R. Wilson has been in the tank passing for 3 weeks. The cure for that malady is not the new, improved and rejuvenated Chiefs Secondary. The Chiefs bottle up the “Beast”, put a spy on Wilson and pull out in the 4th Quarter for a 21 to 17 win.
——————————————————————————————–
The Chiefs so just enough to win in Oakland and pound, I mean POUND the Broncos at home.
Kerouac’s words have iron in them. You live or you die, the rest is just fluff.
I notice win or lose, the HyVee doesn’t vary their price. Sun rises, night follows day.
The game of life is hard to play
I’m gonna lose it anyway
The losing card I’ll someday lay
So this is all I have to say.
I love irony. Glazer declares the Chiefs one of the worst teams in the NFL after week 1. He goes on to make his weekly picks and is getting absolutely crushed this year. Had he picked the Chiefs for the last 10 weeks we would have been 8-2 on that bet alone. Best team ATS in the NFL. (tied with Arizona)
Classic.
Oh, that crow, that pesky pesky crow…
do not, repeat, do not look past Oakland. record schmecord, even the jets pulled off an upset last week. chiefs on a short week, travel, hostile enviorns. if me, I’d give Davis a lot of carries, rest Charles as much as possible and keep him out of harm’s way.
+1, Mike. But, OAK is coming off a short week as well. Not sure how hostile it will be with an 0-10 team that has OFFICIALLY been eliminated from post-season play.
Get ’em down early and take all the fight out of them. OAK will have players just trying to stay healthy and get to the end of the season. I’d like to see KC pound the ball like a round steak and chew the clock up.
If KC doesn’t put the ball on the ground like they did yesterday and give OAK life, I like their chances.
yeah, good points, jim. just don’t want the chiefs to get complacent, looking ahead to the broncos.
the wizard of odds says:
chiefs have tough game in Oakland. Just like kerowacky…eventually Oakland
beats someone…this is one of those “sleeper” games that could kill you.
MU BEATS TEXAS A AND M IN AGGIE TOWN~~~~~~~
MU could play in the sec championship game again…!!!!!!!!!!!!! we hope!!!!11
At the moment Chiefs must fight for home field advantage over New England to go all the way…Chiefs need to win at least 6 more…to do that…I think they can.
I meant 5 more…six would be better and have us at our usual 13-3 when we don’t win one in the post so maybe 12-4 is better…I really think these guys can do it. Hope so… Chiefs fans deserve it.
cg…please shut up.
you know nothing about sports.
what happened to black betties….katisha?
what is their opinion on ferguson…the city…not the booze!!!!!!
OAKLAND RAIDERS 24 ~ KCindy Frauds 20
