And college football is much tougher early on this year than usual. The top teams are winning, but not as many of them are covering the spreads.
Missouri is looking solid and ready for a run at a nice bowl again.
Kansas is its usual horrid self.
Kansas State came off a closer game than expected but looks to be bowl bound once again.
I think both K-State and MU will win 8 games or more this year.
I also think the pro football picture will get clearer after this weekend.
There are lots of close match ups but the ONE that will not be close is Denver vs. Kansas City. Unless Jamaal Charles and Dwayne Bowe have the games of their lives, I see a three touchdown loss coming – maybe worse.
Because the only thing that’s going to stop Denver Sunday is Denver.
We have no defense at all really, however Denver IS NOT UP for this game. They are looking past what I believe is the worst team in the NFL, the Chiefs. Denver knows they are going to win, so they might not go all out and KC will maybe look a bit better than they really are if Denver slacks off. Should KC score it will be from luck, pass interference calls, an INT or something outside the box.
I don’t think our team can go the field against this Denver squad. Still it’s the NFL and you have to play the games.
I just see almost no talent on this Chiefs team to beat virtually anyone.

You may notice I used a mix of pro and college teams on some of my teases. Yes, that is allowed. As you can see most of my picks that are teases include our Chiefs falling short. If they upset Denver or make it close I will lose most of these calls.

However I think not.
Given that Denver is anywhere from a 11.5 to 13.5 point favorite and I think that is WAY too low, I’d say all of your teases with Denver at -5.5 are safe.
Hell, if the Chiefs stay within 14 it will mean a VAST improvement on the opening week turd they laid.

Agree Chuck. This team outside Charles has not one really good NFL player, not one. You could argue Alex Smith and maybe Houston, that’s it. Hali is done, Poe has shown little lately and well nobody else to talk about…a team of below average, average and non NFL players playing. This team really has a shot at 0-16. I am very serious. I see no team worse than KC. And as I reminded you all last week, I was THE only one to see they were the worst…50 to l bet…looks good doesn’t it, they will have NFL’s worst record. Harley you are a sicko on this one…my picks are public over 70 percent correct. Excellent..this year is this year, that was for 3 years. As for what I bet, well nobody has ever given out how much they bet in the media. I have never seen that on TV or radio…so that’s that.
Harley why do you go crazy with stuff like this, or hating on Chuck? What is wrong with you. I do picks each week of what I believe are solid bets. It doesn’t mean I bet all these games, I try and pick two or three, when you bet too many you tend to lose. Everyone has their own opinions. I notice nobody else in the media puts out their picks except on radio/tv a few games with winners only not the spread, makes a big dif…I can tell you I have done fine over the years. Nobody wins them all, nobody. The Chiefs have been my safe bets the last few years. I know them best and for the most part they are a phony over rated team yearly. When it comes to a big game they lose almost all of them, all of them, a fact. Has been for years. Thats why they disgust me. The front office plays our fans like suckers. Some are not. As I have written over and over not since 97 has this team been legit. Sad but true…so my bets usually show that. Sure they beat some nobodies and had some last place sched. where they early on won some games but in the end, they were not a good team ever since 97.

Well my bad, the top three NFL teams I picked Denver, SF, and Seahawks all looked like locks, right Harley. But in the NFL, nothing is…I did win some bets cause I teased Denver but on this board had a poor week at 2-4 with the downfall of SF to Chicago at home late…not 3-3, yikes worst start in four years. Lets rebuild for next week.
