It’s time for even the skeptics to face facts…

“I mean they have Alex Smith at quarterback. Name an elite quarterback you’d rather have. Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger? He’s o-4. Eli Manning‘s 0-5 and the Chiefs beat him. And there’s another elite quarterback that threw for 500 yards last Sunday – Dallas quarterback Tony Romo – and his team is 2-3 and the Chiefs beat them.
“So there are three elite quarterbacks that the Chiefs have better records than and the Chiefs beat two of them. Is Alex Smith better than those guys? No, he’s not, but he’s not as far below them as some people might think. He just doesn’t have the weapons those guys have, but he’s got a lot better defense.”
All of which adds up to…
“Don’t kid yourself, the Chiefs are a dangerous team,” Glazer says. “Are they going to win the Super Bowl? Probably not. But I mean, the Chiefs are playing as a team like they haven’t since all the way back to Hank Stram.”
If they get to the promised land it will be the defense that does it.

Yes my point is Smith is good enough if we can get him some help. If not gonna be tough with this smaller styled offense. Badly need another good receiver and running back, O line could use another guy as well…but we can live with that…of course we’d rather have a Brady or a Manning but that’s not gonna happen. I just mean that Alex is solid. Given his weapons, he has done very well, he really has nothing great but Charles..the receivers are below average…Bowe needs to step it up and fast…maybe he just can’t.

That team ended up as a poor overall team, who had no defense and years end was really about a .500 type team, no defense at all, none. Horrid…The Marty 07 team was a good ballclub, had Rich Gannon been QB we’d have gone to and won a Super Bowl, but Carl forced Elvis on Marty and us…yikes…losers.
