What was it that caused KCTV to bid an un-fond adieu to “Better Kansas City” co-host Kelly Jones while retaining her on air partner Lisa Holbrook?
While the comments section is more often than not a minefield of misinformation and caustic cracks, every once in a while what appears to be a hidden truth will surface.
Take “interesting facts” entry yesterday in the story about Jones unhappy seeming departure from Channel 5: “another rumor has it was too many complaints about her.”
Bingo!
So says a source who spoke with stationalities at KCTV about the waffle-loving, not-so-dearly departed lifestyle show host.
“I was told her contract was up and the ratings were okay, but they couldn’t stand her,” says the source. “The bottom line was she was real difficult to work with.
“She’d walk around the building barking out orders to anyone and everyone. She acts like she’s a major movie star. I mean, it’s her way or the highway. She wasn’t mean, she was just hard to deal with.”
So she was a diva in a second/third market city and nobody cares to deal with that.
I have to comment about the senior year glamour shot pic with her hand on her chin.
I laughed out loud when I first saw that, reminded me of the glamour shot scene in Napoleon Dyanamite. “Now put your chin on your fist and think deep thoughts.”
Vote for Pedro!!
Man Hands
Wow! She’s like a female version of Glazer.
Come on, no way she could be THAT full of herself!
Deb: Okay, turn you head on more of a slant…
Deb: Now, make a fist. Slowly ease it up underneath your chin.
Deb: This is looking really good.
Kip: You can say that again.
Deb: Kay, hold still right there. Now, just imagine you’re weightless, in the middle of the ocean, surrounded by tiny little seahorses.
Deb: [takes the picture] That was the one. I think that’s gonna come out really nice.
Uncle Rico: Ah, how you did it… wow… well I felt really relaxed. Thanks Deb.
Uncle Rico: You’re up Kip.
Kip: Is there some kind of vest that I can wear?
I love that flick almost as much as I love The Big Lebowski.
🙂
Great shows both of them
Kelly is lucky she lasted as long as she did. She participated in a charity event and was so unbelievably rude, hateful, inappropriate, selfish, diva-ish, etc. She treated everyone so poorly, it was really a disgrace. I’ll spare all the details, but we made a point to never ask her participate again with our organization. Pretty sad
Well Kelly found out her attitude wore out her welcome real fast.
I know Kelly well and she compares herself, and I quote” to Beyonce”. Not kidding. She has moved her residence because she “doesn’t want people to know where she lives”
Um, no offense, but no one cares. She has this idea in her head that she is mega famous. And Katie van luchene-that lady from KC magazine- helped feed her ego like no other.
And Glazer didn’t?
Glazer works for himself, he doesn’t have to worry about anybody laying him off
Wow, we were super lucky to have almost-Beyonce in our midst for a few months. We are so lucky in KC.
Don’t get me started on Katie Van Luchene…
I met her a couple of weeks ago and she was very nice. Also she is one of the better looking ladies on local tv.
I attended her birthday party (this past year). You’re going to think I’m kidding, but I’m not. She had KC cops outside and at the door and she had 4 big body guards. This girl thinks she’s a Hollywood movie star. It seemed like a joke at first, because really no one even knows who she is, but she was serious. She thinks she needs all kinds of protectors from her fans and “stalkers”!!
This city cant stand beautiful black smart women. I am suprised she lasted as long as she did. Dont watch chanel five news and write the about their racist problems. You will see less and less blacks on tv because they are in shock that they have a black president twice. I know this town well. Full of crap.
