When is it OK to drop the F-Bomb on live TV?
I guess when a really bad situation finally resolves itself in a good way.
Case in point this past Saturday when Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz slipped one into his pregame speech before beating the Kansas City Royals.
“This is our fucking city and nobody’s going to dictate our freedom,” Ortiz proclaimed to the thousands in attendance—not to mention the millions watching the ceremonies and game on live television.
Head commissioner Julius Genachowski has indicated that theĀ governmental organization will not be fining Ortiz for his on-air profanity.
“David Ortiz spoke from the heart at today’s Red Sox game,” the FCC head Tweeted. “I stand with Big Papi and the people of Boston.”
If you really, REALLY mean it, it’s OK to drop an f-bomb on TV.
Fucking awsome!
In the heat of passion I say it’s ok, sometimes I think we get to anal about some things. Now I’m not saying it’s ok to use it all the time either. In this day and age of wanting to show all things live to the minute the public has to expect as slip here and there. After all when you want reality all the time, reality is what you just might get.
Well, when ya can’t hit anymore what are ya gonna say?
