Another week, another rough ride at Arrowhead Stadium…
But for now, let’s get to my picks below.
Kansas State should destroy a weak and beaten up Texas team tonight. Even though they will not be center stage, and their quarterback is no longer going to win the Heisman (yes he will be invited to the award ceremony for JOHNNY FOOTBALL).
They can however get some redemption for our area losers.
A win gives them a BCS game. The LOST SEASON, is still lost however and nobody will ever hear much about coach Bill Snyder ever again.
And that’s pretty sad.
College Football Picks:
OU -1 over TCU (tease with below)
K-State – 5 over Texas (tease with above)
Georgia + 14 over Alabama (tease with below)
K-State – 5 over Texas (tease with above)
Pro Football:
Chicago + 3 over Seattle (tease with below)
San Fran – 2 over St. Louis (with above)
Ravens -1 over Pittsburgh (tease with below)
Dallas -4 over Philly (with above)
New England -8 over Miami
Hey looking good won both college games now at 43-17..nice…if we can pass 50 and still have less than say 22 loses..has to be in top spot nationally or very close…that’s an incredible record for the season, massively great…I’m pleased..and p.s. nobody took me up on the over 6o per cent offer with Hearne holding the money…see what I mean.
In light of Saturday’s tragedy, we all would do well to keep things in perspective. It’s just a game K-State played on Saturday night, and it’s just a game the Chiefs played earlier today. Coach Snyder may have lost the game that would’ve put the Wildcats in the BCS title game in Miami, but he has had a positive impact on any number of players over the years. And his name is on the stadium out there, so, no, he won’t be forgotten any time soon.
3-2 weekend not so great…Ravens and Chicago got upset and cost me…so now we are at 44-19-5…still a great record…could have been better this weekend…
“…and nobody will ever hear much about coach Bill Snyder ever again…..”
How on earth did you come to this conclusion?
You are confussed with local/area and nation. Bill is basically unknown nationally. I know us locals don’t see it that way, but he is not a subject much of any national media…a mention now and again about his great skills…A national title game would have had focus on Snyder, his coming back to lead K State to the promised land etc…now that will not happen…yes they will get some attention at the Fiesta Bowl..but not the same…sorry.
This Bill Snyder? Bleacher report’s poll, “If your son played football, who would you rather have him play for?” ,shows that 84% would want Bill Snyder to be the coach instead of Nick Saban.
From a national media perspective, in the last 60 days alone,he’s been featured in articles from USA Today, LA Times, ESPN, NY Times, Dallas News, Sports Illustrated, The Oregonian, CBS Sports, SB Nation, Yahoo Sports, and the aforementioned Bleacher Report.
Is that “national enough for you?
Doesn’t 3-2 mean you won three bets? Looks to me like you hit your 2 college bets and lost all three NFL bets. Most people would call that 2-3.
You are correct, it is 2 and 3 not 3 and 2, I had New England on a tease, but in this pick had the game at 8, so I lost…it..you are right I was wrong…sorry and thanks for calling it to my attention therefore the correct record is 43-20 and 5..I stand corrected…
I wasn’t trying to be a dick, just making sure that I was following along correctly.
I’ve actually started experimenting with teaser bets. I can’t say it’s opened up a whole new world of winnings for me, but it’s something different and fun.
Not at all, you were right and I want to be correct on count…thank you. The teaser is considered by some a fools bet..however I don’t agree…usually when you have to pick two games to win one bet the odds jump up…but 6 points is alot of points to add or subtract..its helped me win maybe one third of those calls…to be honest 2/3’s of the time I would have won both anyways…but that other third helps a ton.
