Maybe he’ll come to Union Station. But right now he ain’t going anywhere. I know he’s buried at sea. The President has decided its a no go on showing photos or video from Bin Laden’s death day.
So here come even more people, not only in the Middle East, but all around the world questioning the entire event.
Our government explains it this way: "We buried him at sea to get him put away within 24 hours to be respectful of Muslim religious rights." We also did it that way so there would be no grave site. To not let him to become a martyr with a shrine. And we’re not showing photos or video cause well, hmmm…."Don’t need to spike the ball," Obama says.
I think we can all see the logic to that point.
However, many people – me included – feel it’s time to end any questions about his being killed.
If the government feels it’s too graphic, well, pick a late night time, air it once and that’s that. I don’t think anyone can argue that we haven’t seen worse events on TV, including people jumping off buildings in New York during 9/11.
It’s my belief that at some point the video and photos will be shown.
The sooner the better to shut up most of the "It didn’t happen," conspiracy crowd. Hey you can’t blame them for feeling that way after we "faked" the moon landing with O.J. Simpson.
Lets be fair. The guy was pretty much out in the open at a NOT a very secure location. He had no escape tunnels or hatch – that’s kinda odd. I mean this is the most wanted man on the planet, a top notch brain on being invisible and he was far from it. Also he had almost no people around to protect him. Hey, the guy wasn’t even armed. Yeah, it is a bit odd. Not where or what one would expect from Bin Laden.
However, it does seem to be true. The President has convinced us, as has the military. I like the statement from Obama, "He won’t be walking the earth anymore." That was a good one.
I say put it to bed, show the graphic photos and video. Lets move on. I never did quite get the respect issue on his religion. Uh, we shot him in the head and cheer his death but let’s not be mean to the man – he deserves a decent burial.
Right. Now he and Hitler can plot to overthrow the Devil in Hell. Enjoy.
