And this won’t be popular but really – what does creating breast cancer awareness really accomplish? More women going in for mammograms? Earlier detection? And this message is reaching women by being promoted thru the NFL and MLB? Makes little sense. Why not make the contestants on American Idol and Dancing w the Stars wear pink, or the cast of Glee, or Desperate Housewives? More women watch that stuff than pro football and baseball. Just sayin. Not knockin, just sayin.

The reason they don’t just donate the money is that the creation of products and promotions heightens the awareness of the cause. Writing a check is very helpful and important but does little to create further interest and awareness. Gotta have both, the checks and the pink Nikes.
