One reason many people want to not like your favorite online buddy – me – is the excuse that, “Glazer was a coke head.”

The Harold Examiner? Sound’s like a proctologist. Did you mean “Herald-Examiner” maybe?

Ya know, I had a coke problem in the 80s. (yes, a problem. Perspective tells me using it at all is a problem) I don’t think Craig’s over it. He talks too much about it. I have enough abstinence behind me that I know you can have a better time without coke, it makes interesting people boring and turns nice people into weird narcissists. It is a big white lie. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s still using. He’s clearly still in love with the stuff.
jojo
glazier…you keep forgetting to mention the
real guy who really saved your life…the man who
saved your ass…why not talk about him?

“Asa for sex, most prisons have a thousand or more men. Later the camps, without bars, that I got in the end, were somewhat closer to 800 prisoners. Today they are all overcrowded.”
WTF does anybody get out of this sentence? Are you saying today there is sex in prisons because they are overcrowded? But back when you were in prison you didn’t get slammed by Bubba?
MrOlathe
I used to come to kcconfidential for OTC. But now, I’m a Glazer fan. I think he’s more honest….and interesting.

“Asa for sex, most prisons have a thousand or more men. Later the camps, without bars, that I got in the end”
LOL so what does this mean?

Oh boy, another Glazer column. Lets start the rundown. Glory days reference…check. King of Sing reference….check. Sex and girls reference….check. Drug & prison time reference…check. Pompus declaration (“So I became the poster boy for coke in this town”)…check. Looks like you’ve touched all the bases, is there anything you’ve left out? Oh yeah, this one time at band camp…
craig glazer
So sorry readers and bschloz, I started to explain sex issues in prison and did not. I will do that briefly in part three, my fault, dumb me.
I gave you this background for a reason, no not to be mr.cool, but so when I talk about this area readers will know why I know the things I do, thats all. I didn’t mean to make it too long, but it covers a couple decades, now that this is outta the way, we can continue. No I am not in love with coke at all, I did have some great times with it back in the day, and some I would like to forget. I do not think people should use this drug or most any illegal drug.

P.S. JoJo, not sure who you mean? Explain?
Dino
Glazer, as always a barn burner. Yes I want to now know how to fix this problem, if it can be done. If so to what extent?
MGarr
Craig, as you pointed out, many readers will just not go with you no matter what, they are too busy hatin on your rear end. No reason, you have just seen and done too much compared to almost anyone. Covered the bases. Want to know more about your prison experiences as well.
Ran into the Chief, KCMO, he got your book and read it, like it.

Crazy life Mr. Glazer. In a strange way you seem to embrace it all. I am more interested in prison life then the coke information now.

I think the lesson learned here is ‘walk a mile in a man’s shoes, before you judge.’ What a life. We all have our tales, yes I do find it odd that readers seem to want to attack you Craig for sharing your past adventures. They are so fun and dangerous, but I believe we all relate. Guess some people want to feel they are as good or better than you. Don’t know, I am not one of those humans. Thanks for sharing.
KellysGuy
I’m shocked you survived prison.

My brother met you at Safford Federal Prison in 1985. Said you were a good dude. Worked out alot. He was the asst. dentist, a blonde guy, Gary. Do you remember him? He lives in Arizona now, married car dealer. He was in for drugs.
Susan Dunlap

Fun read, warts and all.

Love your work. Boy I remember Safford. What a wierd prison, on the border of Mexico. Looked like an Army base.
Maureen
Ah poor baby, all alone, locked up. I would have come to see you. Been out of town, will talk.
Recovering Journalist
Not bad … just needs a copy editor. (There are plenty in KC who need work, ya know?) OK … you piqued my interest. I may not believe the entire big fish tale, but I am interested in hearing your perspective on drugs in the here and now.
