Hearne: Ass Clown Suits All Around for KC Confidential

About that Jason Whitlock reality show simulcast tomorrow on 610 and Metro Sports…

Word on the street is the big fella – who by the way at my last sighting had chased away a lot of his chubby – is supremely pissed at yours truly, Craig Glazer, Jim Fitzpatrick and the gang at KC Confidential. I don’t want to sell Greg Hall short, I just haven’t heard his name being taken in vain of late. And I think W might be afraid to mess with Greg, given their, uh, history.

I think you get my drift.

In any case, despite the compliments Glazer laid on his one time pal, Whitlock apparently focused on the negatives in Glazer’s post. Specifically, the part where the smoking hot babes were willing to ride shotgun as arm candy for the big guy, but

Just curious, why is nearly the entire home page of the blog devoted to J Dub? If nobody cares he is leaving, as you say, why devote so much attention to the subject?

HC: Ya got me, taking it all down. Hey wait, I didn’t say nobody cares, I said hardly any subscribers to the Star have called the newspaper to complain. I do think it is an interesting subject however and while it’s not likely to be something anybody (with the possible exception of Jason) is crying themselves to sleep over in a week or three, at this moment in time it’s both newsy and topical. No?

Love the coverage. Keep it up. It is the reason I found the site.

Was Glazer involved in the Royals scandal? And was he implying that Whitlock had a small penis?

HC: Geez, Arte – you really want us to go there? I think the Royals scandal is that the current ownership doesn’t have the decency to unload the team on somebody with a fatter wallet who actually cares about winning. So no, don’t think Glazer has a hand in that. And I have it on good authority that he’s never had the occasion to, uh, you know, check out – Oh, nevermind!

“The reaction this week to the news of Whitlock leaving the Star after 16 years: barely a peep.”
No question The Star(whatever or whoever that even means anymore) gave him the ole screwgie.
What a commentary of the times we’re in when they would refuse to leverage a proven franchise like Jason. A brand that they developed and owned.
The schadenfreude surrounding this drama is delicious. 400+ comments on the little post on KC.COM….15 straight blogs on KCC…3 hours on 61…NOT A PEEP?–C’mon.

I didn’t threaten to cancel my subscription; I did it. Between JW and Hendricks, I’d had enough. So had plenty of other people. I didn’t deserve to be called 1) a racist just because I’m white, and 2) a murderer just because I’m pro-life.

Actually Hearne–because I’m not all that familiar with Glazer’s infamous past, I thought maybe he was involved with the Royals of the early 80s. You know–Willie, Vida and the boys. I have never known the specifics of his notoriety.
    As for Whitlock’s…uh…you’re right. Nevermind.

Arte, we are even, I don’t know anything about you. However you can purchase my life story, its a book, The King Of Sting, now in paperback at Barnes and Noble, Borders, or Rainy Day Books in this city…it will answer all your questions about me and the Glazers. Or go online and get the hardcover from Amazon.
