I make it a habit to pretty much not care a whit about football ’til October. The season’s too long to be excited from now through February. I channel-surfed through the first half or so (between watching “The World at War” on one of this history channels. I’m afraid that nasty ol’ Hitler might win it all).
The Chiefs, not so much.
I can’t tell is Cassel doesn’t throw the ball where it’s supposed to go or receivers just don’t get there. I don’t know how people (even offensive linemen) can play what? 60 or more competitive games through high school and college and not realize real defenders aren’t like blocking sleds.
This is not a good team. Teams they might beat will be judged even worse teams. Teams that beat ’em won’t earn a bunch of respect.
The Chiefs are the free space in the middle of the NFL’s BINGO card.

The only thing that makes sense is they are grooming this team to be such a loser that watching homes games on TV will become a distant memory, Arrowhead will go back to when it only had 20-40,000 people there..and then hlarkcunt will whine the team is losing money..and he is being forced to move the team to LA. I’ve never understood “deferring” the choice until the 2nd half ESPECIALLY in a climate controlled dome. Either you want the ball, or you want to play defense. It’s not like something’s going to change in the 1st half that will give you a better decision/outcome at the beginning of the 2nd half.
If you want the ball – tell the ref you’ll receive and try to go score a quick TD. If you want to play defense, then tell the ref you’ll kick. Don’t let the other team dictate your choice.

Chiefhawk, I think haley wished he had a defense that could get a quick 3 and out, give our offense the ball, score a td, then get the ball back at half, essentially giving us an extra possession. Unfortunately the falcons rammed the ball down our throats at will.
