Most of all the BIG NAME folks – movies, sports and television personalities. And now more than ever….Political Leaders.

Craig, good post… you and/or your Father would have made excellent Mayors for Kansas City.

I remember when your Dad opened “Outlaw’s” on Main Street in 1979… Awesome club, ahead of its time. I had major good times there..!

Love that poem, did you write that? Yes you or Stan would have been amazing leaders for our city. I agree.

Not sure I agee with your morals, however, yes you would have made a fine mayor.

What gets missed here, cause Glazer cannot be mayor now, is this is so true. We want leaders who don’t have any blemishes, and its dumb. We need to vote for men/women who will do a great job.

With the exception of “Black Barbie” (I doubt if she votes or even knows how to) Maybe you should consider running. If you do, I would hope you would bring education back to KCMO where “Black Barbie” is obviously a GRAD U ATE. Just sound it out Barbie! Or how you would spell it GRAD JEW IT.

My problem with you being mayor Glazer, is downtown would not have been fixed. You and your dad wanted to spend money on mid town only. You have stated many times to spend money to upgrade the Plaza,Westport,Brookside and Waldo. You dad’s slogan was NO NEW ARENA. I just don’t agree with that line of thinking. In my opinion downtown will one day be great again.

When I was with Craig he did often tell me how he wanted our city to step up,be better. He told me his plans, had he been mayor. It was a smart plan, I think it may have worked. Surely better than where we are now. Black Barbie go back to grade school, my God.

Only bad news is Craig could have never been married and been mayor, he would have surely stepped out on his wife. At least thats what I think, maybe as he gets older he will slow it down.

also…i dsagree. The reason kcmo has faltered
is not because of the leaders. If you did your
research you would find that every city
has its ups and downs and the majority of
upgrading starts in the business community.
The problem kc has faced is state line.
An issue almost no other city in the top 50
has had to deal with. St. Louis flourished
west but the other side of the line really
died….other cities never had a state and
    diversity border like kc did.
Move the border of kcmo out to 199th street
and kc would have been a completely different
town. Likem yself, I prfer to do my business
in joco. No need to go to kcmo any more.
And the state line kept all the big tax
revenues from going to kcmo…its a fact
    outlined by CIVIC leaders…real leaders.
The state line created a bias and an economic
blockade that kept billions of dollars from going to the missouri side.
KCMO had to fight divided priroties. People
in joco attempted to help out but we saw
what happened at union station and said
    no more.
The differences between joco and kcmo are
    a huge problem…always had…and the big money
people in joco wanted developement in their
    area and state…not in missouri.
I diagree with your statement. KCMO has made
somen huge strides. We still have 2
    fine stadiums…even though
they are older they are still great. If the
chiefs and royals were contenders noone would
find any fault with the stadiums and their
renovations. Put a winner in arrowhead this
    fall and see what happens…
The power and light has struggled thru the
worst recession in 50 years…yes..its not
doing what was projected but what company
is. Give it time..it will work out…and
we’ll see what happens. Downtown is alive..
if you’ve not seen this then you are blind.
The city is still the most beautiful cityin
    the area…its got great people…enough
night life (unless you can’t find enough
    whores to your liking)….
We saw what happend at bannister mall and how
kck came in and swooped it up. Its the state
line and all the jealousies/rivalries that have
    held kcmo back.
    Yes…some things need to be changed…but i
seriously doubt its our leaders that need to
    change them….remember…leaders can’t
    legislate individual behavior.
