Until there is another Plaza riot. The news cycle on this subject has all but stopped. So now it’s time to think logically about the situation instead of just panicing because of the mere thought of African-American teenagers organizing.
Thinking about this episode in Kansas City history what’s clear is that almost nobody scored a decisive victory. The mayor and his wife seemed aloof and disconnected while everyone else just came off as unprepared like total reactionaries.
Except for one dude: Craig Glazer.
Background: Because of my KCC connection I’ve recently had a chance to have a couple of conversations with Glazer and now I can easily see why he’s a recurring theme in Hearne’s writing. The dude is rather interesting as evidenced by the hottie on his arm in the photo adorning this post. However, what impressed me most is the guy’s media savvy.

Hey haters, accept it Glazer is the ‘real deal’ so why can’t he continue to be prominent in the news and on this blog. Why so much jealous crap on the guy. What I like most about Craig Glazer, he doesn’t say he’s a role model or hasn’t done anything wrong in life. This guy fesses up, maybe better than anyone I’ve listened too in years. I never much cared for the “Glazers” when they were our neighbors in Westport. But gotta to admit, Craig always ends up with these smokin hot women. His wife was hot too. Guess that ended. He is a good talker. Reminds me of my old boss Randy Kelly, he was a cool dude, down in the Ozarks now.

What gets lost in all this, is that Tony is right. Glazer, who maybe shoulda been mayor afterall, should be named to head up a fix it group with Police and City counsel. He is right and knows what to do, clearly they don’t.
By the way I also agreed with Glazer on money being spent to fix the real KC, Plaza,Brookside,Waldo and Westport areas, not downtown.
