I don’t remember the commentator but he said something like, “Every elite program knows they’re likely playing the most important game in the lives of their opponents. They always have a target on their backs.”
Duke, Carolina, Kentucky, Kansas….
I doubt if it’s intentional, but these teams tend to play rope-a-dope with lesser teams; let ’em get some moments of glory in the first half then make halftime adjustments. It doesn’t prevent close games or overtimes, but I’ve never seen a Bill Self team flustered. They know what they need to do.

I checked the number of tv appearances nationally
by the big east and it was the #1 conference.
Kentucky has those hotheads..if i was playing
them i’d rattle those guys and get their heads

Sherron Collins as a coach?? Good one … needed a good laugh this morning since my bracket is in shambles. But it’s not my fault. I used all of Lunardi’s picks (except for Mizzou losing today) just to see how full of shit he really is. He had G-town going to the regional final and UTEP-Marquette-Richmond to the S16. So I’m hosed. Great games, though.

If I was a K-State fan (I’m not) I would be frustrated with the Star this morning. I realize KU is the number one team in the country and that their game was at night, but there should have been equal space on the front page for both teams. K-State had a tougher opponent and cleaned up the gym with them.

Why are you guys talking about women’s basketball? I don’t think it’s sexist to say women’s basketball is right near the top of worst sports to watch. It’s terrible. And it’s not sexist. I think I’m being pretty objective in that statement. It’s absolutely terrible. And we have women as vice pres, and presidential candidates because they’re every bit as “good” as their male counterparts. If they were the women’s basketball equivalent of politicians, they wouldn’t be there anyway. Because they would suck out loud.

The best thing about winning this National Championship is one does not have to feel like this for at least 360 days, Crap.
N.I. matched up very well against us today, they had another monster 7 footer to take away our Cole advantage and they shot 9-26, 34% of thier 3 pointers. 27 Points like that is tough.

It was another great year for KU Mens Basketball. It it is not like we did not play good/OK today, we just played a team that was a tough match for out team, and we were a lil slippy …… and that is how it goes, sometimes.
Congrats to KU and Coach Self and the kids, you MEN did great this year, but this tourney is crazy.

Too bad Self placed more importance on the conference than winning a NC. Of course, he wouldn’t even have the one NC if Memphis could have hit a couple of free throws. Self’s a nice guy, but he’s not a great coach. He had the best talent in the U.S. and couldn’t get past the second round. Epic fail. On Northern Iowa’s best night they shouldn’t have been able to come within ten points of kU. To top it off, the mighty jayhawks lay on the court crying and hugging each other in front of the cameras in the locker room. Truly pathetic.

Neither Tyshawn Taylor or any other two guard ever stepped up. Henry didn’t come close to expectations. The team as a whole was overrated because they own the Big 12 and win a lot of games because of the name on their jersey. This was not 1997 with these guys. They just weren’t good enough. Get em next year.
