    jones is also a great pass blocker….and he
    got 1400 yards last year…impressive.
    if the chiefs get a top top receiver tro go
    with the crew they have now its gonna be good.
    Is lilja from indy available…i thought i
    saw he was a free agent…that would be big!
    Now that things have settled down I’m thinking
    that with the coaches we have there’s going to
    be some reall progress. With romeo and charlie
    anjd haley and pioli…we’ve got some of the
    best brains in football on this thing.
    It’s time! It’s time for this town to get
    fired up again. I’m starting to think that
    maybe soon we’ll be making a comeback.
    Lets hope clark opens the wallet and get this
    thing moving strong…
    I’ve got great seats for next year and am
    ready to see this town go crazy for the
    cheifs again.

    why do teams keep giving up on this guy? he’s good. but he works best when people doubt him, so keep saying charles is the starter. we’ll see in Sept.

    The problem is;

    The “coach” is an idiot, didnt anyone else watch last year?

    The owner does not care, doesnt anyone else see this??

    This team is leaving town. ALL the fan optimism is not going to help us.

    My only concern is his age….been around a while.Ten years in the league is a lomg time for a running back. I hope he’s got something left.

    This is a good signing, we still need a pass rusher, one or preferably two o-linemen, a safety, a WR and a TE I’m afraid…

    Geeeezzz = IDIOT

    Anyway….getting TJ and DT Shaun Smith within 24 hours proves that Pioli is on his game and that he’s doing what he needs to do to make this football team BETTER.

    I love the signing of TJ. That said, he’s not going to be a 1400 yard back in our offense. I think It’d be great if he got 10-15 touches a game with Charles getting 15-20. NYJ had a Chiefs circa 2003 O-line last year. They had all pros at center, guard and i believe LT as well. Plus the entire offense went through TJ, Leon Washington until he got hurt and Shonne Greene. Thomas Jones will be fine though for what we are trying to do to supplement JC. Now, sign Lilja or another decent OL, move Waters to center, draft a LT and move Albert to right tackle. That really could have the makings of a great O-line for many years to come. I also like that TJ’s contract is only for two years. It gives us flexibility to sign someone next year or the year after depending on what happens with free agency. Keep moving in the right direction Chiefs and the fans will follow.

    6-10 in 2010. Nothing to get excited about folks.

    Paul = douchbag (not even worthy of caps)

    Paul can not see futher than his nose, if that far. The only clue he has ever had was up his ass, and he lost that.

    The Chiefs will take one step forward in 2010, not signing too many free agents but having a solid productive draft and continuing to improve at each position.

    2011 is when they’ll take two BIG steps forward.

    I see hope in these signings and with the new coaches in place in the offense and defense I think we will see improvement. Last year Pioli came in late and didn’t have a chance to put his stamp on the team. I think this year will be different. I am optomistic.

    Kent Babb is pretty good at his job, but man is he pompous for a low level guy in a dying industry. His claim that fans don’t understand how beat up Charles was is ridiculous. It didn’t take a genius to watch a Chiefs game and see him continually jogging off the field with his should hanging…….
