EVERYBODY’S FINE is what I like to think of as the holiday movie season’s early December Surprise!
It certainly casts Robert DeNiro in a completely different light.
Not as the typical tough guy, but as a recently widowed father who’s planning a family reunion-weekend with his four grown kids at his home. And he’s pulling out all the stops!
Good wine. Choice cuts of beef. The works.
…that is until they one-by-one bail out at the last minute.
But there’s no stopping DeNiro

Why would they screen “Brothers” for Orlando critics and not for Kansas City’s?
Ddoesn’t make any sense to me.
Hi Jack
Jack,
I just have to tell ya, you are in my memories. I have recently re-watched The empire strikes back, and The wrath of Khan recently, (both on HDnet on DTV on my big screens) and so some dang reason you voice echoes in my head about both movies. This goes back to a long time ago, whne you previewed movise on KY, or somewhere, I remember you properly leaving (not giving away too much, left me wanting to know more ) the cliff hanger on both, without giving away too much.
It is intersting, anyway … I just though I would relate to you how you are part of all of this, part of the culture, kind of cool.

We saw Everybody’s Fine last night and completely agree with your review. The movie’s nothing like the promotion by the studio. Had I not read your review we probably would’ve skipped it. And like you my man also enjoyed it and was touched by the story.
Thanks for the good information.
