KU is in trouble. Read where their donations are
way behind and they need to get the money
coming in quickly. The new sports suites at the
stadium arent selling well and perkins needs something to jump start that.
Perkins is a filthy scumbag. As an MU fan we’ve
seen our share of scumbags…but this guy needs to get his ass kicked. In the end…he will be
a disgrace to all ku fans.
Mizzou on the other hand is awash with cash coming in. 5 years ago MU realized that while
sports are huge income generators, that academics are more important and can bring in
donations very quickly. MU realized that a
really good football team can get big donors
while a really good basketball team can only
do so much in generating money.
MU is ahead of texas and ranks up there now with big 10 and ivy league schools in endowment money coming in. MU learned the hard way but now with a businessman in charge the university has their
own atm machine.
Perkins has to fire mangino. He needs a big name
football coach fast. Hes got 2.5 million a year to spend so he needs a big name to jumpstart interest in the program. but who would coach at such a huge basketball school…probably a
lower team coach (tcu/cinncinati) or a strong
asst coach. Perkins is to the fire…get more
money coming in or be gone.
As far as the game…yes it was great. But as
bad a reputation as mizzou fans have we were
around ku fans and were called everything in
the book during the game.
But remember one thing for the next 52 weeks…

a historic/memorable/incredible/beyond imagination season for the ku team crashed
adn burned in 2009!

The Jayhawk logo should be on the helmet. A new design of it could be nice, but I’d prefer using one of the great older logos.
The MU uniforms were cool, but not the dark gray helmet. Looked very military and kinda goofy.
MU will have a “good” program as long as Pinkel is coach. But they will never be a “great” team. He makes so many weird game decisions. The short kickoffs cost MU field position over and over again. Going for 2 early in the 3rd quarter was just wrong. Punting the ball was VERY risky….he’s lucky Mangino bungled KU’s last possession.
The game was decided by the Briscoe fumbles.

Maybe a little off topic, but does KK and the 810 crew feel like it’s riveting radio when they “pick the points” on friday? Then have a 10 minute argument about the “rules” of their fun little game. All I can say is…I guess you have to be there – because it’s sure boring on the radio.

Strange I like the pick segment for what it is. Friday filler…. at 5:30 PM on a Friday night if you are still want riviting radio them sports talk in this town isn’t the place you should be tuning in to.

I had Kietzman on right at 2 for a few minutes. He gave the ‘bare facts’ about the fine and such but kept repeating what he would NOT talk about.
I’m sorry, but isn’t talk radio supposed to be about what your listeners want to HEAR and talk to you about?
I’m so glad Kietzman is ‘above’ all that…but we know he’s not.

KK can’t really get into an open discussion on the Tiger scenario without coming off as a total hypocrite.
I didn’t get to hear much yesterday but I did listen to him hang up on a caller over a fairly harmless question. Somebody is awfully cranky this week….
