Don’t Dare Miss it: Full Throttle Saloon Tonight at Angel’s Rock Bar in P&L

It’s not often Kansas City gets treated to a Hollywood style media schmooze…

But that’s just what’s in store tonight for the fortunate few at Rock 98.9 FM morning mainstay Johnny Dare’s “Full Throttle Saloon” viewing party tonight at Angel’s Rock Bar in the Power & Light District.

What’s the show about?

Nothing less than the World’s Largest Biker bar that accommodates 10,000 bikers (and biker babes), that’s in operation just 10 days every year during the annual Sturgis South Dakota biker blowout.

Dare landed the voiceover honors for the six-episode series that premiers at 9 p.m. tonight on TruTV.

“It’s the fastest growing cable network in America,” Dare says. “It’s in 91 million homes.”

Somewhat amazingly, a suggestion by Dare that the shows stars convene here for a launch party viewing

Wow how lucky KC is to have Jackyl guitarist Jesse James Dupree and the owner of a bar in Sturgis that noone’s heard of. Definitely a grand slam. Come on Hearne…are you that out of touch with reality?

Coyguy, first off I don’t know of many people in your city, I think three others, that are on a national tv show weekly. That live in KC. I saw the show, I’m not into bikes or bikers but it was kinda fun. Dare has a commanding voice. Why would you put down a weeknight showcase in your city, when from what I see, most weeknights, your town is dead.

I now live in San Fran, but am in town for holidays. I have listened to Dare on radio, he has a funny show. Like the interviews with porn stars, but he also has big stars on like Keiter Sutherland,Larry the Cable Guy,George Foreman, and many stars coming through your city who are doing concerts or comedy shows.

Jackyl(sp?)is kinda cool. I have seen them playing(not in person but in the papers)out here at big venues, so they are a name. Be glad someone in your city matters, your football team doesn’t.
