Tony: Chase Mejia – from K-State Football Player to Porn!?!?!

I’ll make this short and sweet because I’ve got better things to do (X-box).

This city is home to a great many d-bags who care about inconsequential local sporting events rather than the fact that Kansas City is currently in a downward spiral that started long before The Great Recession.

So, thanks to a very helpful e-mail sent my way, I’ve found a bit of Internet backstory related to a semi-tragic tale that reveals the long journey of a young man from Shawnee Mission Football through K-State and then onto the porn industry.

Credit to “Herm’s Perm” (haha) for doing all the research that so far has been unmentioned in most sports media circles and documents the former JoCo football star’s journey into porn.

“(Chase) Mejia soon found that MSU didn’t live up to his standards and transferred, for a final time, to Kansas State in the spring. Per NCAA rules, Mejia would have to sit out an entire year before he could be eligible to play. This would not exclude him from the team’s roster, yet he is inexplicably absent. After a brief moment of actual investigative journalism (a.k.a. I called the K-State sports information department and asked if he was on the team), it was confirmed that he is no longer playing for the Wildcats . . .

A diligent reader left us a tip in the comments section of one of Wilt’s posts. It directed us to a site called “daredorm.com,” which I initially assumed to be a college practical joke site. Instead, I happened upon a pornographic version of “truth or dare,” but where “truth” isn’t an option and all of the participants must eventually fuck.”

So what have we learned? If this blog post and photos match up (they do) then College Football really just represents one route in which students can be exploited.

The Bottom Line: So many sports geeks regularly ignore the real world in favor of meaningless games and a saga of a JoCo athlete probably turned porn star simply emphasizes that misguided Kansas City sports ethusiasts are more than willing to watch people ruin their lives for entertainment whether it’s in the sporting arena or another hardcore vocation.
