A broken clock is right twice a day. The end of game drive does NOTHING to change my opinion of Matt Cassel. At that point in the game the Cowboys were pretty sure they had the game in the bag and went a little flacid on defense. The chickens have come home to roost. The arrogance, ignorance and stupidity of the Chiefs and Royals is in full bloom. They can spin all they want about positives and hope and change. It’s all BULLSHIT. Todd Haley and Scott Pioli aren’t leading us to the promised land. We need a jimmy Johnson or Bill Cowher to clean this mess up. Until the fans and sponsors speak with a loud and clear voice and reject the product it won’t get any better. From City Hall to the Sports Complex it’s time for some REAL change. The credibility and integrity of this city have hit an all time low.

Smartman, why take a cheap shot at the Royals here? Yes, arrogance was one of Carl Peterson’s defining characteristics, and Scott Pioli seems to be of the same ilk, but I’ve dealt with both franchises for many years and the same attitude doesn’t seem to prevail with the Royals. True, there are plenty of egos there, but that is true throughout professional sports — and I would argue that it is absolutely necessary, since it takes a strong sense of self-esteem to survive the blows which invariably occur. However, there is a big difference between strong egos and the condescension one encounters with the Chiefs.
They are entirely different organizations, the only commonality being the Truman Sports Complex and their recent on-field ineptitude.

pay the extra dollars to get the good talent he

I can’t blame pioli or haley. They only have so
much money to spend. They can’t fight clark.
If you want to win in the nfl or business, you
need talent. You need the right kind of talent
taht takes money to get. Clark will not pay for
that talent.
You only need to look at the chiefs over the
last 20 years to see the pattern. Old/pushed off
players most teams wouldn’t want and they end up
in kc.

E-mailed my council-person this morning and asked for a proclamation condemning the Royals and Chiefs poor performance and lack of leadership. I respectively ask that you all do the same. Doesn’t hurt to make those fuckers work now and then.
Somebody needs to scrub the Royals and Chiefs stadium agreements to see if there are any bullshit clauses that say the stadiums ALWAYS have to be considered to be in the top 1/4 or 1/3 of all stadiums in the league(s). Dallas is cooler than Kansas City. In 1950 Kansas City had a larger population than Dallas. By 1960 they caught up with us. From 1970 on they have blown us away in every important measure of population, income, business growth, strip clubs, rub and tugs, etc. A little leadership goes a long way.

Write it down, Matt Cassel is the Chiefs franchise QB, he is an outstanding quarterback, he will lead this team back to the playoffs…remeber this team has almost zero NFL talent almost none…he has nothing to work with zip…never has an NFL team been this empty…so, with that in mind and I have been right all year and before….this is the guy, barring major injury to take us where only Len Dawson has…I’ve seen this guys work with a good team, he is NOT a team manager…he is the real deal…he is top fiver in this league, and beyond…lets talk about this in two years…and remember I wrote this, and have written it before..Matt is not the problem he is a major part of the solution…needs some help, just a bit…

JoJo is right about the Hunt family. Lamar never caught near the amount of heat he should have for the brutal teams he fielded during the 70’s & 80’s. His interview on KK’s show before the stadium vote was a disgrace. Here a billionaire is asking for hundreds of millions of dollars from taxpayers and he did not know shit about what he was asking for. His lack of knowledge on the subject showed how much he thought he was entitled to our money. Of course the dumb ass Jackson County taxpayers approved the measure even though the Chiefs weren’t going anywhere. Mark my words, in 10 years the Chiefs and Royals will start getting the word out they need new stadiums.

If Pioli isn’t the GM, Cassel isn’t our QB. He’s not a top five QB. He’s not better than Roethlisberger, Brady, Brees, Sanchez or even old dudes like Kurt Warner, Brett Favre or Kerry Collins. I could go on. To suggest that the Chiefs are Superbowl bound in the next two years much less the next five is insane. Matt Cassel is “Wimpy”, not Popeye…Gomer Pyle not George Patton. He got a once in a lifetime deal from an idiot trying to impress his new employer. That Clark Hunt would OK the deal speaks volumes about how little Clark Hunt knows about talent.
