Lets be honest on whats going on here. The city doesnt want anymore bars in Waldo cause it is getting too congested. So what does Lew’s do? They use their in on the city council to open a “fine dining” restaurant with a roof-top bar. I have never heard of a fine dining restaurant with a 45 foot bar and a bar on the roof. MAYBE Lew’s owners want a bar within the other bar circle in Waldo and they did what they had to do to get it.

First of all…to Nick commenting above. What exactly is your point? Do you think something illegal was done? The city doesn’t want any more bars in Waldo? I live one mile from Waldo and I went to Lew’s and The Well last night and couldn’t say enough good things about it. Pretty much every opened these days offers food. This one is a little more upscale. Waldo beats PnL hands down for going somewhere and having a great time without drama about parking, gangbangers, high-prices, etc. Waldo has something for everyone from dive bars (Bobby Baker’s…always fun) to more upscale like the new WELL. Way to go Waldo on giving us just another reason to spend our money in local establishments instead of cookie cutter national chains. “WELL” done Lew’s owners!! DAS BOOT!!
