I’m pretty excited about a couple of t hese movies, especially the new Tarantino film. Jack, I noticed that you speeled the title of that movie “correctly” (which is to say the way it was spelled when the original but unrelated version of the film that came out in the 1970s). But isn’t the spelling of the movie actually “Inglourious Basterds”? My opint here isn’t to correct your spelling so much as to ask if you have any idea why Tarantino changed the spelling of the name in the first place? Any idea at all?

Glad you caught it. I actually submitted the ‘correct’ title to KCCONFIDENTIAL but my eagle eyed editor then corrected what he figured was a spelling error.
As to why Tarantino spelled it this way? Good question. I know there’s an answer out there somewhere. I just don’t know where……
Do YOU know why the funky spelling?
thanks much,
Jack P.

Yeah, I’ll take the hit, but you try editing Jack’s German! It’s almost as bad as having to edit my English.
