what are they going to do if the Ed Asner film is still drawing large crowds? I want to see Up in 3D.

Good question!
You realize of course that “UP” is NOT in IMAX, just in Digital 3-D.
But since most megaplexes have only one auditorium outfitted with Digital 3-D equipment, things could get ‘sticky.’
The next title to open in the DIGITAL 3-D format is “ICE AGE: DAWN OF THE DINOSAURS” on July 1. I’m sure Disney would LOVE to see make it with “UP” at least through the 4th of July weekend in 3-D.
But it’s not going to happen. 20th Century-Fox would have a cow if they didn’t get to open THEIR animated adventure in Digital 3-D auditoriums.
My guess? “UP” O N L Y in 2-D beginning July 1.

No Jack i didn’t realize Up was just in 3-D thanks for pointing that out to me. Sounds like if I want to see 3-D UP I better do it soon. Thank You.
