The stuff coming out of 1AD and the media lately sounds like a Vince McMahon WWE script.Scott and Todd are working the media like Arthur Fiedler worked the Boston Pops Orchestra. This has got Hoodie prints all over it. Those two are shrewd.

I’m with smartman. Scott and Todd are running laps around the local media. I imagine they sit in their offices laughing their asses off every morning after they get done reading the sports section.

    Greg,

I’m not arguing your choice for top three sources of Chiefs news, but what about Tim Grunhard? I know he isn’t actually on staff at 810 anymore, but it seems like I still always hear him on their air, especially on Petro’s show. Does he have any kind of role with 810? Because if he does, it would seem to me that a former player (and a pro-bowler at that) would have a better time getting an honest response from a member of the team than would a 26 year-old dude who never played the game (or at least never played it anything approaching an elite level) and has a voice that sounds like two cats boning by your window as you try to sleep.

I have no doubt that Wright is overplaying his street cred by a huge factor, but aren’t there AT LEAST four guys who have more credibility than Wright?

    Gavin,
Grunhard has little contact with the Chiefs on a day-to-day basis anymore. He might understand the game better as an ex-player, but those sports talk guys like Wright, Lebo, C&C, KK, St. John, Petro and Bukaty have far more inside knowledge about the Chiefs because they live it 24/7. Most of these guys work hard and have decent info. It’s up to us as the consumer to decide who is best at delivering accurate goods.

Nick Wright is a complete douschebag and easily the worst sports talk host on Kansas City radio today. Where he gets that he’s more “plugged in” to the Chiefs than anybody else is hilarious at best. Does anybody even listen to his POS excuse for a radio show?

Nick Wright is a joke. He’s upset that he wasn’t born black and attempts to justify his self appointed ghetto pass everyday. I no longer listen to 610 in the mornings because of him. I was locked in to 610 for the last 6 years, but no longer. I’m now on my ipod at work from 8 to 11 and sometimes forget to tune back in.

What’s it say about the Royals season that in early June the city is already looking forward to the 2-14 NFL team in town?

Nick Wright is probably one of the worst sports talk show hosts in KC history and there has been plenty. The fact that this joke of a host even has a show in a metropolitan market is beyond me. They guy wants to be so black he can’t stand it. I wish he would be honest with his listeners and explain how he went to Barstow, Syracuse and where ever else and didn’t have to pay a dime for it.

And……how many times a day does that guy say “Here’s my take”? I mean c’mon, Jim Rome wannabe.

Nick Wright is terrible. He thinks he is going to beat Petro head to head. LMAO! He can’t finish a sentence without saying, “Pardon Me”. He is a pompus douchebag and a Jim Rome wannabe!

Nick Wright has Nevada, Joplin, Mo. talent but yet keeps a job in the Kansas City market. Too make matters worse the guy thinks he can be the Howard Stern of sports.

Why all the Nick haters? Come on worse ever??? I still miss DA. I haven’t listened to Nick since he was moved to mornings. But in general enjoyed his evening stuff.
